SHOWDOWN: Governor Abbott Holds the Line, Invokes Texas’ Constitutional Authority to Defend Itself Against Lawless Biden Regime
Governor Greg Abbott (R) invoked Texas’ Constitutional authority to defend itself against the lawless Biden Regime.
Abbott escalated his fight against Joe Biden on Wednesday after the US Supreme Court sided with the Biden Regime and allowed Border Patrol agents to remove razor wire installed on the Texas-Mexico border.
Full statement from Abbott:
“The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now,” reads the statement. “President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.”
The Texas National Guard on Tuesday responded to the Supreme Court’s order allowing the Biden Regime to cut/remove razor wire installed along the southern border by installing more razor wire.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R) previously installed about 30 miles of razor wire at the Texas-Mexico border near Eagle Pass to stop the flood of illegal aliens being let in by the Biden administration.
In October Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against the Biden Regime regarding their cutting razor wire at the border.
The lawsuit made its way to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals after a federal judge sided with Biden. The appeals court last month said agents could NOT cut the razor wire.
In a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court granted Biden’s emergency request Monday afternoon.
Conservative justices Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett (Trump appointee) sided with the liberals and granted the Biden Regime’s emergency request.
This is the 9th time that the Supreme Court has sided with the Biden Regime out of 14 emergency applications.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton on Monday evening vowed to defy the Supreme Court’s ruling on razor wire at the southern border.
“The Supreme Court’s temporary order allows Biden to continue his illegal effort to aid the foreign invasion of America. The destruction of Texas’s border barriers will not help enforce the law or keep American citizens safe. This fight is not over, and I look forward to defending our state’s sovereignty.” Ken Paxton said.
Texas National Guard members responded to the US Supreme Court’s order by installing more razor wire in Eagle Pass.

Jeff DeWit Resigns as Arizona Republican Party Chair after Audio Tape of Him Attempting to Bribe Kari Lake Surfaces, Claims Tape Was “Selectively Edited” and Says There is an Even “More Damaging Recording”
Arizona GOP Chairman RINO Jeff DeWitt announced on Wednesday that he will resign from his position over a leaked audio recording of him attempting to bribe Kari Lake out of fighting against Arizona’s rigged elections and running for office in 2024.
He used the opportunity to attack Lake and play the victim card, claiming she “cannot be trusted to engage in private and confidential conversations.” He then represented himself as an innocent person in an “unpaid role that demands the amount of time of roughly two full time jobs.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported on Tuesday, A newly leaked audio recording proves that RINO Arizona GOP Chairman Jeff DeWit, an agent of the Uniparty, asked Kari Lake to “take a pause” and step aside from politics for two years while offering her a job on behalf of people “from back East.”
However, Kari Lake retorted, “They’re going to have to f*cking kill me to stop me.”
In the statement, DeWit accuses Kari Lake of releasing “a selectively edited audio recording of our private conversation,” calling it a “deceptive tactic.”
This is the same excuse he used when an audio tape of DeWit declaring that he is “off the Trump Train” and supporting Ron DeSantis’ failed presidential campaign surfaced. The Gateway Pundit reported on the tape and DeWit’s claims that it was “fake” or “chopped up.”
DeWit, in an attempt to distance himself from his own remarks, even told The Gateway Pundit that he was lying to the person in the recording.
DeWit also told Kari Lake, “I’m not sure Trump can win again.” He continues, “I think what it comes down to for a lot of people, it’s not about like control or agenda, it’s just about the ability to raise money to win… and even on their end, what makes them the most money.”
At one point, DeWit appears to ask Kari Lake to name a price at which she can be bought, and Kari responds, “This is not about money. This is about our country.”
However, DeWit now claims the statements were “taken out of context.”
And it gets worse. According to DeWit, he is resigning because he faces the possible “release of a new, more damaging recording.” As if the bribery scandal wasn’t already so damning to his reputation and integrity.
The statement concludes, “This is all such a distraction to that mission that I am doing as Ms. Lake wishes and am stepping down as Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party.”
Kari Lake gave the following statement to The Gateway Pundit:
The tape speaks for itself: The Arizona GOP Chairman Jeff DeWit attempted to bribe Kari Lake. Thankfully Kari is an extremely ethical person who rejected DeWit’s multiple attempts to offer her money and corporate board seats in exchange for Kari not running for public office. She will be an incredible Senator for Arizonans.
No one from the Kari Lake campaign threatened or blackmailed DeWit.
It is unfortunate that Dewit hasn’t recognized how unethical his behavior was and still hasn’t apologized to Arizona Republicans.
DeWit’s false claims are just par for the course. The Arizona GOP must be relieved to have his resignation. Now we can focus on getting ethical leadership and win big in 2024.
He should reveal who sent him to bribe Kari Lake if he wants redemption. “Forget the who. Let me just tell you the what,” says DeWit in the damning audio recording.
“It’s time for him to name names,” said Benny Johnson:

Massachusetts Ballot Commission Rejects Effort to Bar Trump From 2024 Ballot
A legal challenge to bar Trump from the 2024 ballot in Massachusetts has failed…so far.
The Massachusetts State Ballot Law Commission this week rejected a challenge to ban Trump from the 2024 primary ballot citing the 14th Amendment.
“We believe that Mr. Trump’s candidacy for this office and placement on the Massachusetts ballot violates the Constitution, so we are challenging the constitutionality,” said Shannon Liss-Riordan, an attorney for the challengers, according to CNN. “It is the job of this commission to hear objections to the legality of placement of candidates on the ballot.”
The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.
Trump has not been charged with engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.
“The panel rejected the case on procedural grounds Monday, finding that the commission didn’t have jurisdiction to address the matter,” CNN reported.
President Trump is currently battling similar challenges in other states. Legal challenges have notably escalated in Maine and Colorado.
The Maine Superior Court last Wednesday ordered Trump back on the ballot pending a decision from the US Supreme Court.
President Trump appealed Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows’ 2024 ballot ban to the state superior court last Tuesday.
Last month Maine’s psychotic Democrat Secretary of State Shenna Bellows unilaterally barred Trump from the 2024 ballot because she decided the former president is an insurrectionist.
Earlier this month President Trump asked the US Supreme Court to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar him from the 2024 ballot.
The Colorado Supreme Court last month disqualified Trump from the 2024 ballot.
The US Constitution has three requirements to be president:
Be a natural-born citizen of the United States.
Be at least 35 years old.
Have been a resident of the United States for 14 years.
The Massachusetts Ballot Commission’s decision can be appealed.

Top UK General Says Civilians Will Have To Be Conscripted Into a ‘Citizen’s Army’ To Fight Major War Against Russia
The war-mongering in Europe has gone into overdrive, with military chiefs sounding the alarm to ‘imaginary wars’, trying to drum up support for Ukraine and to hypercharge Russophobia as the patience of the citizens in general with this conflict narrative has greatly diminished.
Now, the top UK general says they live in a ‘pre-war’ scenario, and insists that only ‘citizen armies’ will be able to defeat the coming Russian avalanche to disrupt the Western societies.
The head of the British army alerted UK citizens to be prepared for a war fought on the scale of the great conflicts of the 20th Century – and that they may need to be mobilized.
Euronews reported:
“Speaking at the International Armored Vehicles exhibition in London, General Sir Patrick Sanders said the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a sign of things to come, warning that the lessons of previous wars must be remembered before it is too late.
‘Our predecessors failed to perceive the implications of the so-called July Crisis in 1914 and stumbled into the most ghastly of wars’, he said. ‘We cannot afford to make the same mistake today. Ukraine really matters’.”
General Sanders insisted that the scale of this potential conflict he envisions ‘must not be underestimated’.
“‘This war is not merely about the black soil of the Donbas, nor the re-establishment of a Russian empire, it’s about defeating our system and way of life politically, psychologically, and symbolically. How we respond as the pre-war generation will reverberate through history. Ukrainian bravery is buying time, for now’.
The general also called for a near-doubling in size of the British army. The UK military in general plans to reverse a long-term recruitment crisis that has shrunk its numbers even as British forces participate in various missions overseas.”
While traditional mobilization sending people to the frontline was important, everyday British citizens must be prepared for a level of civic mobilization not seen since WW2.
Sanders’ calls for a ‘whole-of-nation’ war echo German defense minister Boris Pistorius, who made radical pleas for Germany to prepare for war with Russia.
In a move that’s recurring in PM Rishi Sunak’s embattled government, officials had to go out and dismiss the general’s ideas.
ABC News reported:
“Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s spokesman, Max Blain, said the government ‘has no intention’ of introducing conscription.
‘The British military has a proud tradition of being a voluntary force. There are no plans to change that’, he said.
He added that ‘engaging in hypothetical wars’ was ‘not helpful’.”

BREAKING: O’Keefe Media Group Releases “DC BLACKMAIL EXPOSED PART 1” – Congressional Intern Reveals Blackmail and Extortion Scheme After Affairs & Sex Parties: “Cawthorn Wasn’t Lying Neither” (EXPLOSIVE VIDEO)
O’Keefe Media Group released bombshell new footage on Wednesday, revealing a potential blackmail scheme in Congress using sexually explicit information and material against members to influence their votes.
The material used for this blackmail comes from alleged sex parties and affairs that Congressmen and women have in DC.
This is exactly what Madison Cawthorn was talking about when he revealed that he was invited to a “sexual get-together” at someone’s home in DC. However, Cawthorn was smeared as a liar, threatened by Daniel McCarthy, and removed from Congress in the next election after the RINOs conspired against him.
“Madison Cawthorn wasn’t lying neither,” said Capitol Hill intern Titus Warren when he was telling James O’Keefe all about the Uniparty sex and bribery scandal. The intern further revealed that this information he had about the sex parties in DC is used to influence elections during campaign season.
Titus Warren has been photographed with numerous party leaders and DC elites, including Nancy Pelosi and Kevin McCarthy.
O’Keefe Media Group reports,
O’Keefe Media Group founder James O’Keefe has discovered that nothing is as it seems when it comes to Congress Members’ voting patterns, the staffers they hire, or their activity outside of Congress.
Meet Titus Warren, a Democrat working for Republicans in Congress. These Republicans do not care about Warren’s political views or the potential of him tipping off the other side. In fact, Titus states that he “loves” Nancy Pelosi and believes that Donald Trump “needs to die.”
Still, his employers don’t seem to care how he thinks. While Titus says he keeps these details to himself, he is “sure” that his boss knows his political views, considering the fact that a photo of Nancy Pelosi sits proudly on Titus’ desk.
“Every time I see her, or we run into each other, you know, sometimes I’ll even go into her office, then I’ll just go in her candy bowl,” said Titus before confirming that Pelosi knows him and “loves” him as he “loves” her.
Titus also boasted that he gets to attend “a lot of embassies and a lot of events at the White House” and that he loves Joe Biden.
When asked how Republican constituents might respond to his viewpoints, Titus said, “If they do [care], they can kiss the crack of my ass because I don’t care.”
What’s worse is that most Congressmen in D.C. don’t actually think for themselves but rely on staffers like Titus and their advisors to guide them in decision-making. Or they rely on outside influences, such as blackmail, which uses their sexual wrongdoings while “serving” the American people.
Titus was able to provide us with good intel on the inner workings of Congress and how members of both parties are coerced to vote a certain way through what he called a vote “suggestion.” But these so-called suggestions aren’t suggestions at all; they are much more nefarious ways of blackmailing members of Congress who have engaged in affairs on their spouses or downright sex parties with other members, according to Titus. “There’s a lot of things that I see with my own eyes,” he told James O’Keefe.
“Madison Cawthorn wasn’t lying neither,” said Titus as he explained that most Congress Members are married, but “they have affairs with other congresspeople… And they have like parties and stuff.” Titus then confirmed that these alleged parties get “hot and heavy.”
Though he said he’s never gone to one of these parties or been invited, Titus contends “that is a fact” and an open secret. “It happens a lot more than people think,” he noted before telling us that he thought it was a fiction or a “joke” before he began working in Congress.
“A majority of members that come late are 9/10 times hungover from the [sex parties] the night before,” Titus added.
These parties are then used to gain leverage over the officials to pressure them to vote for the Swamp’s preferred policy and against unfavorable policy.
But this leverage is not only used to change votes in Congress. It seemingly applies to election season, too, as Titus explains, “If you ever run for office, and you’ve been where I am, you would use that as leverage to win your campaign.”
As reported by The Gateway Pundit, Madison Cawthorn revealed in March 2022 that he was invited to a “sexual get-together” or an “orgy” at a D.C. elite’s home. He also alleged that “some of the people leading on the movement to try and remove addiction in our country” were often doing cocaine right in front of him. This caused a stir within the House of Representatives. Cawthorn was then smeared as a liar, threatened with consequences by then-Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and removed from Congress in the next election.

California Judge Rules Woman Who Stabbed Boyfriend 108 Times While High Will Avoid Prison, Citing She “Had No Control Over Her Actions”
A California woman, Bryn Spejcher, who was convicted of fatally stabbing her boyfriend 108 times in a cannabis-induced psychotic episode, received a sentence of probation instead of prison time.
The controversial ruling came after a jury previously found her guilty in December for the involuntary manslaughter that occurred under the influence of a psychotic episode, which both prosecution and defense experts linked to the consumption of cannabis.
On Tuesday, the 33-year-old audiologist was sentenced to two years’ probation and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service after being found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of her boyfriend, Ventura County Star reported.
The victim, 26-year-old Chad O’Melia of Thousand Oaks, was killed in the early hours of May 28, 2018, after what witnesses described as voluntary marijuana use turned into a violent tragedy.
According to accounts, Spejcher and O’Melia, who had met at a dog park and had been dating for only a few weeks, smoked marijuana together at his Thousand Oaks apartment on the night of May 27, 2018.
The court heard that Spejcher, under the influence, attacked O’Melia with various knives and also injured herself before police subdued her with a Taser and baton blows.
Ventura County Superior Court Judge David Worley justified his decision on the basis of diminished responsibility, highlighting that the “senseless” killing, was driven by a psychotic break.
“From that point forward, she had no control over her actions,” Judge Worley said before announcing the sentence, which included probation and a suspended four-year prison term that could be enforced should Spejcher violate her probation terms.
Immediately following the sentence, the victim’s father, Sean O’Melia, accused Judge Worley of bias and criticized the decision for setting a perilous precedent.
“He just gave everyone in the state of California who smokes marijuana a license to kill,” he lamented.
More from VC Star:
Spejcher’s lawyers said during the trial that she was “involuntarily intoxicated,” and claimed O’Melia had pressured and intimidated her into taking the last bong hit. Under California criminal law, people are responsible for their actions when impaired by alcohol or drugs unless their intoxication was involuntary.
The jurors rejected the defense’s argument. They deliberated for less than four hours before finding her guilty of involuntary manslaughter on Dec. 1.
During the trial, the prosecution portrayed Spejcher as a callous, narcissistic party girl who just wanted to get high the night she killed O’Melia. At the sentencing hearing, her parents and others painted a dramatically different picture, focusing on her hearing impairment and her work before the crime as a licensed audiologist.
“She has worked her whole life helping others,” her father, Mike Spejcher, said.
Bryn Spejcher also spoke during the sentencing, noting she had been accused repeatedly of showing no remorse. Sobbing, she repeatedly apologized to Sean O’Melia.
“My actions have ripped your family apart,” she said. “I am broken and aching inside. I hurt that you never see Chad again.”

Nancy Pelosi Attacks Trump’s ‘Cognitive Disorders’ Then Confuses Him with Joe Biden! (VIDEO)
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi trashed President Trump Tuesday night as he secured another primary win in New Hampshire.
The AP called the New Hampshire race for Trump with 31,236 votes at 54.3% to Nikki Haley’s 25,727 votes at 44.7%.
Biden-supporting Democrat New Hampshire voters admitted to voting for Nikki Haley in the Republican primary Tuesday evening to sabotage Trump.
The New Hampshire Republican primary was open to Independents and Democrats but Trump won anyway.
Nancy Pelosi was completely unhinged during an appearance on MSNBC with Chris Hayes.
She was shaking as she repeatedly accused Trump of lying.
83-year-old (almost 84) Pelosi also attacked Trump for his so-called ‘cognitive disorders’ and then confused him with Joe Biden.
“Let me just say that I’m not gonna spend too much time on Donald Trump’s cognitive disorders, but what I am going to say…he did try to say that Nikki Haley did not allow the national guard to come but it was Nancy Pelosi! It was nobody! It was Joe! It was Donald Trump!” Pelosi said slurring her words.

Germany, France, Romania, Poland, Lithuania… Farmers All Over Europe Take a Stand Against Crippling ‘Green’ Policies
The European continent is in turmoil, plagued by a multitude of self-inflicted maladies coming from the insane, failed globalist policies pushed by the EU: unchecked mass migration, unemployment, economic stagnation, LGBTQ lunacy, and – of course – the crippling climate alarmist ‘green’ regulations.
Perhaps no other sector of the economy was more impacted by the green lunacy than Agriculture.
European farmers, as in one voice, say that the green policies and taxes are taking them to the very edge of bankruptcy, in what becomes in all practical terms a ‘manufactured famine’.
So the protests have sprung up all over Europe, ahead of the EU elections in June, with the Agricultural workers demanding more government subsidies and protection from cheap grain from abroad.
The local demands vary, but they all claim to be taking the hardest hit from environmental reforms, and therefore they need more government subsidies to offset them.
Euronews reported:
“In Romania, farmers and truckers have been clogging up main roads with their tractor and trucks for a week and a half now. They’re demanding lower taxes and fairer subsidies, but so far talks with the government have failed, and they’re continuing to protest. They’re also angry over the growing cost of insurance for heavy machinery.”
German farmers on the streets since December, were joined shoulder-to-shoulder with eco-activists. Farmers say that they are fully supportive of environmentally friendly, genetically unmodified farming, but for that, they do need subsidies or, at least, fair prices set for their products.
“In France, mass protests forced the government to address farmers’ issues. Earlier, farmers vowed to block some motorways until [PM] Attal heard their demands. The FNSEA has said it will decide next week whether they will call for nation-wide action.
[…] The farmers say that authorities’ eco-transition policies make national producers uncompetitive. Not only does it make farms unprofitable, it forces France to buy food products from countries where environmental standards are weaker they claim.”

Nikki Haley Campaign Enters ‘Delusion and Denial Phase’: ‘We Aren’t Going Anywhere’
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Tuesday that she will fight on even if she loses in the New Hampshire primary to former President Donald Trump.
Further, Haley’s campaign manager Betsy Ankney argued in a memo first reported on by The New York Times that she has a clear path forward, even if New Hampshire does not go her way.
Ankney wrote, “take a deep breath” because “we aren’t going anywhere.”
Meanwhile, conservative pollster Richard Baris posted on X, “The [Nikki Haley] campaign has now entered delusion and denial phase, where [Ron DeSantis] was right before and after Iowa.”
“Almost all losing campaigns go through it,” he continued. “Back on Planet Earth, New Hampshire is her best state demographically, with doomsday after in her own state.”
Rich Baris The People's Pundit
Ankney refuted the notion that New Hampshire is, “the best it’s going to get” for Haley, because of its semi-open primary, which allows undeclared voters, who may even normally vote Democrat, to cast ballots in the Republican primary.
WMUR-TV reported as of Dec. 28, “There were 343,192 voters registered as undeclared, with 262,262 registered Democrats and 267,905 registered Republicans.”
“Undeclared voters may still vote in the presidential primary by choosing a party ballot when arriving at the polls. Once a ballot is chosen, the voter will become a registered member of that party, but may return to undeclared status before leaving the polls,” the news outlet explained.
Ankney contended that there are other states with similar open primaries to New Hampshire going up to Super Tuesday on March 5.
“The reality is that the path through Super Tuesday includes more states than not that have this dynamic,” she wrote.
The next primary is in Haley’s home state of South Carolina, “which has no party registration, and anyone can vote in the Republican primary if they have not already voted in the Democratic primary,” Ankley wrote.
Then she pointed out that 11 of the 16 states up for grabs on Super Tuesday have “open or semi-open primaries,” including Virginia, Texas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina and Vermont, “all with favorable demographics.”
Ankley said that after Super Tuesday, “We will have a very good picture of where this race stands.”
One responded on X to the memo writing, “Am I reading this correctly, that the fact the primaries aren’t Republican-only is the advantage? Talk about saying the quiet part out loud …”
Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt asked Haley on Tuesday, “Do you get out if you lose today?”
“No, I don’t get out if I lose today,” Haley said. “Again, I’m going to say this, we’ve had 56,000 people [in Iowa] vote for Donald Trump, and you’re going to say that’s what the country wants? That’s not what the country wants.”
The Times reported that Haley has scheduled fundraisers in California, Florida, New York, and Texas in the coming weeks and has already booked a $4 million television ad buy in South Carolina.
The FiveThirtyEight daily tracking poll shows Trump leading Haley in South Carolina by approximately 62.2 percent to 25 percent.
Nationally, Trump polls 67.7 percent to Haley’s 12.4 percent.
Trump’s support has increased since Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis exited the race on Sunday.

Religious 'Nones' are now the largest single group in the U.S.
Image Credit: Religiously unaffiliated people now make up 28% of U.S. adults, according to a new study from Pew Research. That's a larger cohort than Catholics or evangelical Protestants. Natacha Pisarenko/AP.
When Americans are asked to check a box indicating their religious affiliation, 28% now check 'none.'
A new study from Pew Research finds that the religiously unaffiliated – a group comprised of atheists, agnostic and those who say their religion is "nothing in particular" – is now the largest cohort in the U.S. They're more prevalent among American adults than Catholics (23%) or evangelical Protestants (24%).
Back in 2007, Nones made up just 16% of Americans, but Pew's new survey of more than 3,300 U.S. adults shows that number has now risen dramatically.
Researchers refer to this group as the "Nones."
Pew asked respondents what – if anything – they believe. The research organization found that Nones are not a uniform group.
Most Nones believe in God or another higher power, but very few attend any kind of religious service.
They aren't all anti-religious. Most Nones say religion does some harm, but many also think it does some good. Most have more positive views of science than those who are religiously affiliated; however, they reject the idea that science can explain everything.
Nones could prove to be an important political group
Gregory Smith at Pew was the lead researcher on the study, titled "Religious 'Nones' in America: Who They Are and What They Believe."
He says the growth of Nones could affect American public life.
"We know politically for example," Smith says, "that religious Nones are very distinctive. They are among the most strongly and consistently liberal and Democratic constituencies in the United States."
And that could change electoral politics in the coming decades.
The political power of white Evangelicals has been well-reported in recent decades, but their numbers are shrinking while the number of the more liberal Nones is on the rise.
However, Smith points out that Nones are also less civically engaged than those who identify with a religion – they're less likely to vote. So, while they identify as Democrats, getting them to the polls on election day may prove to be a challenge.
Within the Nones, however, atheists and agnostics are more likely to be politically and civically engaged, whereas those who responded that their religion is 'nothing in particular' are far less likely to vote.
Pew also found that, overall, Nones are less likely to volunteer in their local communities than religiously affiliated adults.
Logic and avoiding harm help moral decision making
Beyond their numbers and their behaviors, Pew also asked respondents what they actually believe.
The survey found Nones are less satisfied with their local communities and less satisfied with their social lives than religious people.
While many people of faith say they rely on scripture, tradition and the guidance of religious leaders to make moral decisions, Pew found that Nones say they're guided by logic or reason when making moral decisions.
"And huge numbers say the desire to avoid hurting other people factors prominently in how they think about right and wrong," says Smith.
People of faith also say they use logic and the avoidance of harm to make decisions, but those factors are in concert with religious tradition and scripture.
Nones tend to be young, white and male
Demographically, Nones also stand out from the religiously affiliated.
Nones are young. 69% are under the age of fifty.
They're also less racially diverse. 63% of Nones are white.
Similar studies by Pew and other groups such as the Public Religion Research Institute have found that people of color are far more likely to say religion is important in their lives.
But Smith says to keep in mind that the Nones are comprised of three distinct groups – atheists, agnostics and those who describe themselves as 'nothing in particular.'
Nones who describe themselves are atheist or agnostic are far more likely to be white.
"People who describe their religion as 'nothing in particular' are more likely," says Smith, "to be Black or Hispanic or Asian."
At first glance, Nones appear to be evenly divided be gender. But digging deeper into the data shows that men are significantly more likely to say they're atheist or agnostic whereas women are more likely to describe their religion as 'nothing in particular.'
