"They're Trying To Get Our IP" - Congressman Slams China's SMIC For Violating Chip Sanctions
The Biden administration's efforts to limit China's access to high-tech semiconductor chips and advanced machinery for supercomputing and AI have yet to be successful. There is growing frustration in Washington this week after Bloomberg revealed that Huawei Technologies Co. and China's top chipmaker, built a new smartphone using an advanced 7-nanometer processor.
On Tuesday, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters he needs "more information" on the "character and composition" of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp.'s Kirin 9000s chip powering Huawei's Mate 60 Pro. Financial Times reported Sullivan was responding to a question during a briefing when a reporter asked whether US controls on exports of advanced semiconductors were being circumvented by Beijing.
TechInsights conducted a complete teardown of the Mate 60 Pro for Bloomberg. They found that the "processor is the first to utilize SMIC's most advanced 7nm technology and suggests the Chinese government is making some headway in attempts to build a domestic chip ecosystem."
For some context, Apple's current iPhones use 4nm chips. The introduction of new iPhone 15 models will likely be powered by 3nm next week. Even though there is a sizeable gap between Huawei's 7nm powered smartphone and Apple's 4nm, it demonstrates the possibility that sanctions have been an ineffective weapon by Washington against China.
Dan Hutcheson, the vice-chair of TechInsights, told FT that Huawei's Mate 60 Pro "demonstrates the technical progress" the country's chip sector has made despite being limited to the latest ultraviolet lithography tools due to Western sanctions.
Hutcheson warned the development could spark another wave of Western chip sanctions on China to "curtail China's access to critical manufacturing technologies."
... and this development has caused a stir in Washington, as Bloomberg's Annmarie Hordern reported Wednesday morning:
When asked about whether SMIC violated trade sanctions by supplying Huawei with a new smartphone chip, @RepMcCaul said SMIC "warrants investigation" and it "looks like" they violated sanctions by supplying Huawei. SMIC continues "to try to get our intellectual property."
Meanwhile, the Global Times, a state-run communist newspaper in China, posted this meme on X, saying, "Huawei breaks free from US tech blockade."
Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst at TF International Securities, told clients in a note that Huawei's new smartphone could revive its handheld business.
Goldman told clients via its GS Global Equities Call this morning to "Keep an eye on AAPL today following a WSJ report that China ordered officials not to use iPhones and other foreign - branded devices for work or bring them to government offices. ( WSJ ) On this note, semi/chip names were bid overnight following introduction of a new Huawei phone sparking hopes for the domestic semiconductor industry."
This development is an ominous sign that Washington's global arsenal of sanctions to prevent other powers from rising is failing (read: here) amid the emergence of a multi-polar world that is likely here to stay.

Biden admin abruptly axes Alaska oil and gas leases backed by state lawmakers, Native Americans
The Biden administration canceled several oil and gas leases issued in early 2021 to an Alaskan state economic development agency, it announced Wednesday.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) rescinded the seven 10-year leases — spanning 365,775 acres in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) — held by the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA) and supported by a wide range of stakeholders, including lawmakers and Native Alaskans. The leases were issued by the Trump administration in one of its final actions.
"This latest action by the Department of the Interior against Alaska and Native Alaskans living inside ANWR shows arbitrary disregard for federal law, based on campaign trail rhetoric. Campaign promises are not enough to justify this agency action," AIDEA Executive Director Randy Ruaro told Fox News Digital. "Under the law, Interior must present real facts and reasons that support this reversal in position."
"Interior’s action leaves AIDEA one choice, we have to go to court to protect our rights in the ANWR leases," he continued. "This time, we will ask the court to allow us to conduct discovery that could include taking the deposition of Biden’s messenger, [Interior] Secretary [Deb] Haaland, and possibly other administration officials involved, so the real motives are made public."
The DOI also issued a proposal to block off 13 million acres of land across the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR), an area in North Slope Borough, Alaska, set aside by Congress for resource development, and an additional 2.8 million of acres in the Beaufort Sea off the northern coast of Alaska, from oil and gas leasing.
Interior Secretary Deb Haaland said canceling AIDEA's leases and blocking off acreage in the NPR and Beaufort Sea would help the U.S. fight climate change.
"With climate change warming the Arctic more than twice as fast as the rest of the planet, we must do everything within our control to meet the highest standards of care to protect this fragile ecosystem," Haaland said in a statement. "President Biden is delivering on the most ambitious climate and conservation agenda in history."
"The steps we are taking today further that commitment, based on the best available science and in recognition of the Indigenous Knowledge of the original stewards of this area, to safeguard our public lands for future generations," she continued.
Under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the DOI was ordered to establish and administer an oil and gas program in ANWR. Then, years after the bill was passed, the Bureau of Land Management unveiled the final leasing program and ultimately held its lease sale for hundreds of thousands of acres of fossil fuel leases in ANWR in January 2021.
One day before President Biden's inauguration, the DOI awarded nine leases: one to Australian oil company 88 Energy, one to a tiny Alaskan firm Knik Arm Services and seven to AIDEA.
"Having just spent more than a month home in communities across our state, there is palpable anger and frustration among Alaskans about the Biden administration’s unrelenting assault on our economy and our ability to lawfully access our lands," Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, told Fox News Digital in a statement Wednesday.
"This war on Alaska is devastating for not only Alaska but also the energy security of the nation," Sullivan said. "This unlawful cancelation of AIDEA’s ANWR leases today now brings us to 55 executive orders and actions specifically targeting Alaska since President Biden assumed office."
Sullivan added that the Biden administration's actions targeting energy production in his state would have a chilling effect on future investment.
"The administration is putting on a legal charade by pretending to follow the law that requires them to hold lease sales with no intent of ever actually honoring those leases — daring any investor to waste their time and money," the Alaska Republican continued.
"Not only is this an affront to the rule of law, it’s also a grave injustice to the Inupiat people of the North Slope, especially the people of Kaktovik — the only village in ANWR. As evidenced by this and so many of the administration’s actions negatively impacting the Alaska Native people, the idea of ‘equity’ is being exploited as a hollow political soundbite."
After campaigning on blocking drilling in ANWR during the 2020 presidential campaign, Biden signed an executive order on Jan. 27, 2021, pausing new oil and gas leasing on federal lands as part of his climate agenda. On June 1, 2021, the DOI suspended the Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program in the ANWR — under which AIDEA was awarded its seven leases — pending completion of a new environmental analysis.
Both 88 Energy and Knik Arm Services pulled out of their leases following Biden's actions.
In November 2021, AIDEA filed a lawsuit challenging the DOI's action, arguing the program was clearly mandated by Congress. AIDEA was joined in the lawsuit by the Kaktovik Iñupiat Corp., North Slope Borough and Arctic Slope Regional Corp.
However, an Obama-appointed judge threw the case out last month, earning rebuke from Alaska's entire congressional delegation, including Sullivan; Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy; and leaders in Alaska's North Slope like Nagruk Harcharek, the president of the Voice of the Arctic Iñupiat, and Charles Lampe, the president of Kaktovik Iñupiat Corp.
"I am frustrated by yet another judicial ruling that overrides congressional intent," Democratic Alaska Rep. Mary Peltola said at the time. "I firmly support Alaska’s ability to explore and develop its natural resources in order to create jobs and lower energy prices. This area was specifically set aside for leases by Congress in 2017, which were finally issued in 2021."
"This decision dismisses the needs and interests of those who call this region home, harming the self-determination of the Iñupiat of the North Slope," Harcharek added.
According to AIDEA, the non-wilderness section of the ANWR where its leases are located contains approximately 7.6 billion barrels of recoverable oil and 7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. The agency said a large share of economic development and jobs supported across Alaska’s indigenous and rural North Slope communities are related to oil and gas development.
In addition, taxes on oil and gas activities in Alaska provide key funding for communities statewide and for government services, schools, housing, health care and emergency services.
Environmental groups have opposed all drilling in ANWR over concerns about greenhouse gas emissions and potential impacts on wildlife in the region.
Reuters first reported the DOI's action earlier Wednesday.

Russia accelerates sale of foreign currencies
The Bank of Russia announced on Wednesday that it will increase the planned sale of foreign currency on the domestic market to 150 billion rubles ($1.5 billion), citing the need to repay government-issued Eurobonds.
According to a press release, the almost tenfold increase in the central bank’s daily “mirroring operations” is linked to investments from the government’s wealth fund. It now plans to sell $218 million worth of foreign currency per day from September 14 to 22.
Russia is due to make a $3 billion Eurobond payment on September 16, the regulator said, noting that most holders will receive payment in rubles, although some may then create additional demand for foreign currency.
“Under these conditions, the decision to redistribute foreign currency sales as part of mirroring transactions related to investing [from the National Wealth Fund] will help meet possible additional demand for foreign currency and reduce volatility in the foreign-exchange market during this period,” the statement reads.
The Russian ruble strengthened on the central bank’s announcement to 97.59 against the US dollar and 104.81 versus the euro.
Market players described the regulator’s move as positive for the ruble, claiming that a short-term increase in foreign currency sales could prevent the weakening of the Russian currency during the repayment of Eurobonds.
“It is still difficult to say with certainty where exactly the exchange course will move. But in fact, we just see the sale of the previously planned volume of foreign currency ahead of schedule. It would have been sold anyway, but over a longer period,” Vasily Karpunin, head of the Information and Analytical Content Department at BCS World of Investments, explained to RBK.
The Russian currency has been weakening against the dollar since early June, when it was trading at around 80-81 to the greenback.

Russian minister proposes ban on fuel exports
Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev warned on Wednesday that Russian farmers might be short of fuel for the upcoming harvest and winter planting, proposing temporary export restrictions as a possible fix.
“We have a problem with fuel stocks” in several regions, Patrushev told a parliamentary committee. Without fuel, he said, the farmers will “stop the harvest and not plant the winter crops. It would be a disaster.”
Last week, Patrushev reminded lawmakers, the ministry noted an alarming rise in prices of fuel and lubricants used in farming. The problem has since evolved into the need to secure about 500,000 tons of fuel by November.
“We are now working very closely with the Ministry of Energy, we will communicate directly with oil refineries and look for the necessary volume in each region so that farmers can get it,” Patrushev said, pointing to First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin, who also attended the meeting.
Saying he was just “thinking out loud,” Patrushev suggested one of the ways to make this happen was to “temporarily stop the export of petroleum products until we stabilize the situation on the domestic market.”
Patrushev’s department has already drafted a proposal to the cabinet, asking the Energy Ministry to bar fuel dealers from exporting oil and petroleum products abroad, and only letting oil refineries do so.
The price of oil rose past $90 a barrel earlier this week, after Russia and Saudi Arabia agreed to extend production cuts. Moscow has continued to export oil at a brisk pace, regardless of the attempted G7 “price cap” at $60 a barrel. As of Wednesday, the St. Petersburg commodities exchange listed premium gasoline at 75,457 rubles ($766.84) per metric ton, with regular gasoline at 66,031 ($671.05) and diesel at 70,377 ($715.21).

KAMALA HARRIS Harris says she's ready to step into role of president if Biden is unwell: 'May have to take over'

Vice President Kamala Harris said during an interview Wednesday that she was ready to fulfill her constitutional duty to assume the presidency should President Biden be unable to govern as questions swirl around his health and age.
Biden, who is 80 and is turning 81 in November, continues to be the oldest serving president in U.S. history. Should Democrats win again in 2024, he will be 82 before he is sworn into a potential second term and would be 86 at the end of it. Harris described the idea of possibly stepping into the role of president as "hypothetical" but said she was ready.
"Joe Biden is going to be fine, so that is not going to come to fruition," Harris told The Associated Press in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she was attending a regional summit. "But let us also understand that every vice president — every vice president — understands that when they take the oath they must be very clear about the responsibility they may have to take over the job of being president."
She added, "I’m no different."
The vice president also dismissed concerns about Biden's age, even though he is widely seen as too old for office.
A recent AP/NORC poll showed that 77% of Americans and 69% of Democrats think Biden is too old for a second term.
Some Republican presidential candidates, including former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, have argued that a vote for Biden would really end up being a vote for Harris.
"I see him every day," Harris said of Biden. "A substantial amount of time we spend together is in the Oval Office, where I see how his ability to understand issues and weave through complex issues in a way that no one else can to make smart and important decisions on behalf of the American people have played out."
She added, "And so I will say to you that I think the American people ultimately want to know that their president delivers. And Joe Biden delivers."
Harris ran for the presidency in 2020 but quickly burned out following the Democratic primary debates. She ultimately dropped from the election in Dec. 2019 and received fewer pledged delegates than fellow candidates Michael Bloomberg, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar or Tulsi Gabbard.
During the interview, Harris also cited her former work as a prosecutor in arguing former President Trump should be held responsible for the protests at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and the effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Harris served as the San Francisco district attorney from 2004 to 2011 and California’s attorney general from 2011 to 2017.
"Let the evidence, the facts, take it where it may," Harris said during Wednesday’s interview.
She continued, "I spent the majority of my career as a prosecutor. I believe that people should be held accountable under the law. And when they break the law, there should be accountability."
Trump, the current frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is facing four federal indictments, including one in Georgia for allegedly attempting to reverse the results of the 2020 election.
With the 2024 presidential election cycle fully underway and with Trump likely becoming the Republican nominee, Biden and Harris have expressed that he is a threat to American democracy.
"Democracies are very fragile," Harris said in Wednesday’s interview. "They will only be as strong as our willingness to fight for it."
Harris is currently representing the United States at a summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
The president's absence disappointed some, but the White House emphasized his commitment to the region, which Harris also reiterated in her interview.
"We as Americans, I believe, have a very significant interest, both in terms of our security but also our prosperity, today and in the future, in developing and strengthening these relationships," she said.
Harris' approval ratings have remained low throughout her vice presidency, and an NBC News poll found she had the lowest rating for any vice president in the poll's history.
Only 32% of registered voters have a positive view of Harris, compared to 49% with a negative view, and 39% with a "very negative view."

Colorado Voters Sue To Disqualify Donald Trump From 2024 Presidential Ballot
DENVER – On Wednesday, six Colorado voters initiated a lawsuit aimed at removing former President Donald Trump from the state’s election ballots due to his involvement in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots.
This legal action, filed in the U.S. District Court in Denver, argues that Trump should be ineligible for future elections under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. This section states that individuals who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” after taking an oath to support the Constitution cannot hold office.
The plaintiffs are urging the court to exclude Trump from the 2024 ballot and declare that it would be “inappropriate” and a “dereliction of duty” for Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, a Democrat, to permit his name on any upcoming primary or general election ballots.
Represented by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and multiple law firms, the group of six voters comprises four Republicans and two unaffiliated individuals. Among the petitioners are former Rep. Claudine Schneider, a registered Republican from Rhode Island who endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, Hillary Clinton in 2016, and Joe Biden in 2020; Norma Anderson, a former majority leader in the Colorado House and Senate; and Krista Kafer, a conservative columnist for the Denver Post who supported Trump in 2020. Although Anderson left the Republican Party in 2021, she later rejoined, as confirmed by CREW.
Their comprehensive 115-page lawsuit contends that Trump violated his oath of office by inciting the mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6. The group cited evidence from the House January 6 committee’s findings and special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation, which resulted in one of four criminal indictments against the former president.

The Pentagon Wants To Affirm Your Gender Transition (But Not If You're Avoiding The Draft)
Authored by Ryan McMaken via The Mises Institute,
The costumed bureaucrats at the Pentagon we call "generals" have spent much of the last decade enthusiastically assisting three different administrations in "affirming" military employees who "transition" or consider themselves transgender.
Openly identifying as transgender has been permitted in the US military since 2016 under the Obama administration. The Trump administration did not reverse this policy but took steps to limit the number of employees undergoing sex-change surgeries and other active efforts at "transitioning."
Since 2021, however, the Pentagon has returned to the earlier Obama-era policy of paying for surgeries, hormone usage, and related treatments requested by military employees. From 2007 to 2009, more than $3 million has been spent on surgeries, with and additional $12 million spent on related procedures.
The Pentagon in recent years has fallen all over itself to pander to LGBT interest groups, as can be seen in this military recruitment video titled "Emma," and in the fact that the Navy promoted as "non-binary" drag queen as the face of one of the Navy's recruitment drives.
Given that the Pentagon has made it clear it is devoted to affirming these life choices among potential recruits, it would be reasonable to assume that the Pentagon rejects the idea that one's "assigned sex" at birth has any objective meaning at all. After all, truly affirming the transgender ideology requires rejecting the notion that "men are men" or "women are women."
That assumption would be wrong.
When it comes to the military draft - which is presently inactive and called the "selective service program" - the military absolutely insists that "men are men."
In other words, the military wants to make sure no man can get out of the forced military service by claiming to be a woman. Thus, the Selective Service System (SSS) makes it quite clear that "the registration requirement on gender assigned at birth and not on gender identity or on gender reassignment."
In other words, maintaining the interests of the empire trumps transgenderism.
In its FAQ on "who needs to register," the SSS states:
Selective Service bases the registration requirement on gender assigned at birth and not on gender identity or on gender reassignment. Individuals who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register. Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register.
The legal authority is based on the Military Selective Service Act (MSSA), which does not address gender identify or transgender persons. In addition, Presidential Proclamation 4771 refers to “males” who were “born” on or after January 1, 1960. Thus, Selective Service interprets the MSSA as applying to gender at birth because Congress did not contemplate transgender persons or a person’s gender identity when it required on “males” to register when the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940 was passed and amended by the Selective Service Act of 1948 to create the Selective Service System. Until Congress amends the MSSA or passes a separate law addressing transsexuals and gender identity, Selective Service must follow the intent of Congress when it required only males to register—the registration requirement is based on gender at birth.
In the event of a resumption of the draft, individuals born male who have changed their gender to female can file a claim for an exemption from military service if they receive an order to report for examination or induction.
There are a couple of ways we can interpret this discrepancy.
One way is to note simply that Congress has been unwilling to change the definition of who is eligible to be drafted, regardless of White House policy Thus, even if the administration wants to "affirm" the claimed identities of transgender military employees, it can only do so much in terms of changing selective service policy.
As second way of looking at this is to note that the regime's toying around with transgender ideology issues comes to an abrupt halt when that ideology might threaten the regime's prerogatives to force the maximum number of American men into military service.
Both interpretations are likely true.
The "needs" of the empire always come before social-policy pandering to select interest groups.
But it's also true Congress appears unenthusiastic about explicitly changing SS policy.
It's easy to see, however, how Washington could "fix" this apparent inconsistency in policy. We will likely hear more and more calls for the selective service to include women as well. It's already moving in that direction. This removes the problem of insisting that everyone who is a male "at birth" register for the draft regardless of stated "identity." Rather than debate who is a man, it's easier to simply force everyone to register for the draft.
Certainly, we have no reason to expect Congress to go in the opposite direction and make it possible for men to avoid the draft simply by "identifying as a woman."
It's exceedingly unlikely Republican hawks would risk giving such a wide-open loophole to men seeking to avoid being enslaved by the regime for a period of years as conscripts.

Prosecutors to Seek Hunter Biden Indictment for Felony Gun Crime

From The Epoch Times
President Joe Biden’s son may be charged with a felony gun crime, according to a new filing from U.S. prosecutors.
Prosecutors plan to ask a grand jury to indict Hunter Biden for the crime soon, special counsel David Weiss’s team said in a Sept. 6 filing.
“The Speedy Trial Act requires that the Government obtain the return of an indictment by a grand jury by Friday, September 29, 2023, at the earliest. The Government intends to seek the return of an indictment in this case before that date,” Mr. Weiss’s team told a federal court in Delaware.
Mr. Biden, 50, possessed a firearm in October 2018 despite being addicted to an illegal drug, a violation of federal law, prosecutors have said.
They agreed to allow him to enter pretrial diversion agreement but that deal has fallen apart.
A conviction could land Mr. Biden in prison for up to 10 years.
Mr. Biden’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Mr. Biden’s lawyers said in a separate filing on Wednesday that he is following and will continue to follow the terms of the diversion agreement.
U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, the judge overseeing the case, had ordered the parties to provide updates to her by Sept. 6.
She made the order under the Speedy Trial Act, which requires the filing of an indictment soon after an arrest or summons.
Deal
Mr. Biden was charged with the felony count on June 20.
That same day, Mr. Weiss said that Mr. Biden had agreed to plead guilty to separate tax charges and enter the pretrial diversion agreement for the firearm charge.
During a hearing in the tax case, Judge Noreika learned the diversion agreement featured promises from prosecutors to not pursue additional charges, which eventually led to Mr. Biden pleading not guilty to the tax charges.
Prosecutors then said the diversion agreement was not in effect because it has not been signed by Margaret Bray, the U.S. probation officer for Delaware, who would be acting at the judge’s direction.
Ms. Bray has not signed the agreement, according to a version of the agreement made public by the government.
Because the agreement never went into effect, “none of its terms are binding on either party,” Mr. Weiss said in a previous filing.
Mr. Biden’s representatives have represented otherwise.
“The defendant intends to abide by the terms of the diversion agreement,” they wrote in an earlier filing, alleging the parties “have a valid and binding bilateral diversion agreement.”
They provided a copy of the agreement signed by Leo Wise, a special assistant U.S. attorney working with Mr. Weiss; Mr. Biden; and Mr. Biden’s former lawyer Christopher Clark.
Mr. Weiss was appointed under President Donald Trump as a U.S. attorney. Attorney General Merrick Garland, appointed by President Biden, named Mr. Weiss as special counsel this year.
Agreement
The agreement stipulates that Mr. Biden comply with certain conditions, including not purchasing or possessing a gun for 24 months.
In a statement accompanying the agreement, Mr. Biden admitted using crack and powder cocaine starting in 2016 and becoming “a habitual user” the following year.
Mr. Biden used the drugs “frequently and regularly” through May 2019.
In October 2018, Mr. Biden admitted to purchasing a firearm after checking a box on a federal form that falsely said he was not a user of or addicted to illegal drugs.
Mr. Biden possessed the gun from Oct. 12 to Oct. 23 before it was discarded in a trashcan outside a supermarket in Delaware, according to the statement.
President Biden has declined to comment on the probe into his son.
“I have no comment on any investigation that’s going on,” he told reporters during a recent press conference. “That’s up to the Justice Department, and that’s all I have to say.”
Tax Charges Dropped
After Mr. Biden pleaded not guilty to intentionally not paying taxes, the parties tried to hammer out a new deal but failed.
That prompted prosecutors to ask Judge Noreika, another appointee of President Trump, to dismiss the charges.
They said that the venue was not appropriate and indicated they intend to file the charges again elsewhere.
“The government, in the exercise of its prosecutorial discretion, is considering what tax charges to bring in another district and may elect to bring the same charges set forth in the instant information or different ones,” prosecutors said in the filing.
The judge agreed with the request and threw out the charges on Aug. 17.
According to the indictment in the tax case, Mr. Biden received more than $3 million across 2017 and 2018 and failed to pay more than $200,000 in income tax on his earnings.
The charges were misdemeanors that each carried a maximum of one year in prison.

Briefing by Chief of Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov on U.S. military-biological activity
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation continues to analyse the military and biological activities of the U.S. and its allies in Ukraine and on the territory of other countries.
The second meeting of the working group on strengthening the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention was held in Geneva from 8 to 17 August 2023. The event was held to develop concrete and effective measures to strengthen the BTWC regime.
Despite the purely expert nature of the meeting, due to the position of the United States and Ukraine, the discussion of the agenda was highly politicised.
The Western group of countries promoted the idea of creating a voluntary financial fund on the platform of the Convention, under the control of a specially created committee with the possibility of allocating earmarked funds for projects favourable to them.
The Russian Federation was in favour of ensuring equitable access to technologies and scientific achievements in the biological sphere and called for unilateral restrictive measures against States Parties to the Convention to be avoided.
Russia was supported by a number of countries, the number of which began to increase amid the reaction of the world's media to the publication of documents on the U.S. military-biological activities, even such as the American publication American Greitens, the British Bit Chute, the Italian La Presse, and the Greek Banking News.
The reports of non-governmental organisations as Interpol, the World Health Organisation, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the Committee on UN Security Council Resolution No. 1540, whose tasks are in no way related to the subject matter and objectives of the Convention, traced pro-Western ideas about the non-mandatory nature of the BTWC verification regime and the possibility of replacing it with non-core mechanisms.
In discussing the issue of national implementation of the BTWC, the Russian Federation once again raised the issue of violations of the Convention by the Kiev regime and its Western curators. It was noted that the USA and Ukraine position military-biological research as cooperation for peaceful purposes, 'hiding behind' Article 10 of the Convention.
It is noteworthy that during the work in Geneva of the expert group on strengthening the BTWC, the Pentagon published a policy document 'Biosecurity Policy Review', which defines the actions of the U.S. Department of Defence in this area for the period up to 2035.
The policy developed by the U.S. administration is based on the U.S. National Defence Strategy, the National Biosecurity Strategy, and the Biological Threats and Pandemic Preparedness Plan.
Although its stated purpose is to: '...deter the use of biological weapons and respond to natural outbreaks...', the document creates a legal basis for further U.S. biological-military expansion and research outside of national territory.
In particular, the overseas network of United States-controlled biolaboratories will be expanded and the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, which was previously imposed by the U.S. administration on post-Soviet countries, will be continued.
This is supposed to follow a well-established pattern of involving civilian ministries and intermediary organisations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the implementation of Pentagon plans.
As Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs Deborah Rosenblum stated, '...biosecurity is no longer the domain of specialised Army units alone...'.
The biological-military nature of the planned activity is also evident from the fact that it will be conducted by the Biodefence Council, chaired by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defence William LaPlante.
In general, the number of administrative structures engaged in the implementation of bioprospecting in the USA has increased significantly.
We previously told you about the creation of the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness, which is headed by U.S. Air Force Major General Paul Friedrichs. It was noted that the work of the directorate would focus on pathogens that could trigger another global emergency.
As it turns out, this is not the only structure created by the U.S. administration in 2023 to organise dual-use research outside the national territory.
On 1 August, the State Department's Bureau of Global Health and Diplomacy was formed.
Its official purpose is stated as '...international cooperation in the effective prevention, detection and control of infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS...'. In practice, the office will be responsible for setting policy and coordinating Washington's efforts to establish a global infectious disease monitoring system and achieve United States leadership in this area.
Ambassador-at-Large John Nkengasong, who previously served as director of the Africa Regional Office of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a structure involved in the implementation of U.S. military biological programmes, has been appointed to head the new structure.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the State Department regularly emphasises its non-involvement in biological activities on the grounds that it is not a core foreign policy issue.
We have in our possession documented evidence of the State Department's involvement in the Biosecurity Engagement Programe since 2016. According to the funding plan, at least $40 million is envisaged for the involvement of various non-profit and non-governmental organisations alone.
The documents demonstrate the active participation of the U.S. State Department in bioprogrammes on the territory of foreign countries, as well as Washington's desire to use third-party performers to conceal the customers and purposes of the research being conducted.
Special attention is given to countries in the Middle East (Iraq, Yemen, Jordan), South-East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines) and Africa (Kenya, Morocco, Uganda). Mention is made of President Obama's role in promoting the State Department's proposed biological programmes.
It should also be noted that Ukraine occupies a special place in the planning documents and is singled out as a separate region.
Thus, Washington is making administrative, financial, and diplomatic efforts to establish U.S. global biological control.
The scale of the biological-military activities and the extensive cooperation of the perpetrators are confirmed not only by the documents received, but also by the statements of political representatives in the United States itself.
I would like to highlight a few statements by Democratic presidential candidate Robert Kennedy, Jr. During an interview with the American TV presenter Tucker Carlson, Kennedy spoke at length about the events of 11 September 2001 and the subsequent signing of the so-called Patriot Act, which, according to the American politician, '...resumed the arms race, but with the use of biological weapons, ... and the Pentagon began to invest huge sums of money in their development ...'.
The U.S. presidential candidate elaborated on the legal implications of the Patriot Act, in particular that since 2001, any official who violates the law on the use of biological weapons cannot be held criminally liable, although U.S. federal law provides for capital punishment for this offence. This provision was used as a loophole in international treaties that were ratified by the U.S. Congress.
I would like to recall that it was in 2001 that the United States blocked work on a legally binding protocol to the BTWC, thereby completely eliminating the possibility of international control of its military-biological research.
The statements by an American politician about the functioning of biological facilities controlled by the Pentagon on Ukrainian territory deserve special attention. '...We have biolaboratories in Ukraine because we are developing biological weapons and these biological weapons use various kinds of new synthetically bred strains, as well as CRISPR technologies and genetic engineering techniques that were not available to previous generations....'.
Such statements are confirmation of illegal military-biological activities by the United States and require a legal assessment followed by an independent investigation.
During the interview it became known that about 36 thousand people are involved in the U.S. biological weapons programme, while the list of facilities with BSL-3 and BSL-4 isolation levels, where such research is conducted, is concealed from the public.
Apparently, the exact number of biolabs is not known by the U.S. administration itself.
For example, in March 2023, a 'clandestine' laboratory carrying out activities with pathogens was discovered in an abandoned industrial building in Ridley, California. It contained about 30 refrigerators and freezers, thermostats and equipment for cultivating microorganisms.
About one thousand transgenic laboratory animals, about eight hundred samples of biomaterials were found in laboratory premises. Analysis by the Centre for Infection Control and Prevention revealed the presence of at least twenty pathogens in the samples, including COVID-19, HIV and hepatitis pathogens.
The investigation revealed that the laboratory has been operating since October 2022 with gross violations of basic biosecurity principles. For example, laboratory animals were kept in unsatisfactory conditions, leading to their deaths. The disposal of biomaterials, including blood, tissue and serum samples, was carried out without complying with the requirements of sanitary norms. At the same time, the real owner of the laboratory has never been found and the actual purpose of its activities has not been established.
It should be noted that this is not an isolated case, confirming the lack of proper control over dual-use developments. We have previously cited a report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, as well as a report from the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurityю These documents recognise the unwillingness of U.S. oversight bodies to monitor research potentially subject to the BTWC.
Given the United States' inability to control its own biological facilities, the activities of U.S. laboratories around the world are a constant source of biothreats, primarily to the populations of the countries where they are based. An example of this is Ukraine, which has several dozen such facilities operating on its territory, which have been removed from international control.
In the current situation, we consider it extremely important to resume work on a legally binding protocol to the Convention, which would be binding on all States parties to the BTWC and, first and foremost, on the United States of America.
Corrupt Billionaire Behind Zelensky’s Rise To Fame & Power Arrested
By Zerohedge
With an estimated fortune of just under $1.7 billion, Ihor Kolomoisky is among Ukraine’s top five richest citizens. Over the weekend he was arrested by Ukraine authorities on an array of fraud and money laundering charges, at a sensitive moment the government is trying to show the world it can tackle deeply rooted corruption.
A Saturday statement from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said that the billionaire, referred to as the “de facto owner of a large financial and industrial group” – had allegedly tried to launder over 500 million Ukrainian hryvnia ($13.5 million) by “transferring it abroad, while using the infrastructure of banking institutions controlled by him.”
A Kyiv court has ordered him to pretrial detention for two months amid an ongoing investigation, with bail having been set at a whopping $14 million.
Importantly, The New York Times in its Tuesday coverage of Kolomoisky’s arrest highlighted that he was an early major backer of now President Volodymyr Zelensky who had a hand in bringing him to power. He’s also widely believed to have funded extremist private militia armies at various times.
Writes the NY Times: “His business interests have included oil and banking, and he was once considered a patron of Mr. Zelensky, a former comedian whose popular shows were broadcast on Mr. Kolomoisky’s television channel before he successfully ran for the presidency.”
And further very revealing details are included in the Times report as follows:
Suspicions of corruption and embezzlement have dogged Mr. Kolomoisky for years. In 2017, he left Ukraine for Switzerland and Israel after the government of then-President Petro O. Poroshenko seized a bank he co-owned and accused him of a large-scale fraud that threatened to destabilize Ukraine’s economy.
He returned in 2019 after Mr. Zelensky’s defeat of Mr. Poroshenko, raising fears that his ties to the new president would help him regain his economic and political clout.
So naturally, Western mainstream press is now presenting this as a “big fish” prosecution showing Zelensky is getting “tough” and finally going gloves-off on exposing long-standing corruption.
The timing is also interesting given Zelensky just sacked his own defense minister, an announcement which came the same weekend as billionaire Kolomoisky’s arrest. “This week, parliament will be asked to make a personnel decision … I have decided to replace the minister of defense of Ukraine. Oleksii Reznikov has gone through more than 550 days of full-scale war,” Zelensky said over the weekend.
And guess who was degrees of separation away from Hunter Biden, related to shady Bursima relationships? “Besides being connected through the Burisma energy giant, Hunter Biden did business with Igor Kolomoisky’s bank,” one prior report reads.
As for the dismissed defense minister, Reznikov was at the center of an anti-graft probe into the military’s paying inflated prices for imported items, sometimes at triple or more the cost, the profits of which are believed to have lined the pockets of top military officials. There’s also the recent recruiting scandal, where top military recruiters were given large bribes to allow individuals to avoid conscription.
In the backdrop is Ukraine’s application to join the European Union. Of course, the fact that Ukraine tops the list of Europe’s most corrupt societies will remain a major hurdle likely for years to come.
Russian media has meanwhile pointed out that Kolomoysky has personally entered the political arena at times, and that his money has hugely impacted the country in ways known and unknown:
Kolomoysky burst on to the political scene in 2014, when he was appointed governor of the southeastern Dnepropetrovsk Region following a Western-backed coup in Kiev. A year later, however, he was dismissed from his post over a conflict with then-Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko amid a struggle for control of Ukrnafta and state-owned oil pipeline operator Ukrtransnafta.
In 2016, Ukrainian authorities also nationalized Kolomoysky’s PrivatBank, after declaring it a major threat to the country’s financial system, following allegations of large-scale fraud.
Kolomoysky is also widely considered to have played a major role in the rise to power of President Vladimir Zelensky. Before launching his political campaign in 2019, Zelensky was a comedian, whose show was hosted by a Kolomoysky-controlled media holding. The magnate himself said he “wanted” Zelensky to become president, but denied close contacts with him.
In this particular case it’s very likely Washington has brought pressure to bear on Kyiv, given that as far back as 2021 the US State Dept. sanctioned Kolomoysky and his family members. A US statement at the time said he was engaged “in corrupt acts that undermined rule of law and the Ukrainian public’s faith in their government’s democratic institutions.”
He may have at one point even been stripped of his Ukrainian passport, but he’s personally dismissed these reports as well as the widespread allegations of corruption as being “nonsense” and without merit.
Perhaps this is why it was easy for Zelensky to now (after all these years of “open” corruption) deliver him to the courts? Starting in 2019 Kolomoisky began making some pro-Moscow statements, in a major reverse-course…
Ukraine should give up on the West and go back into Russia’s fold, influential Ukrainian billionaire Ihor Kolomoisky said in an interview with The New York Times Wednesday.
Kolomoisky’s business ties to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy have been under heavy scrutiny since the start of the former comedian’s election campaign this year. Both men have rejected suggestions that Kolomoisky has behind-the-scenes influence over Zelenskiy.
The Moscow Times picked out quotes from Kolomoisky’s emotional and profanity-laced interview that The New York Times says marks a “remarkable change of heart” for Russia’s former opponent.

China bans officials from using iPhones – WSJ
Beijing has reportedly ordered officials working for central government agencies to stop using iPhones or any other foreign devices for work or bringing them into the office, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Several government employees told the outlet that they had been given these instructions by superiors in recent weeks via workplace chat groups and in-person meetings.
While government officials at some agencies had already been barred from using iPhones for years, the latest order seems to have significantly expanded the reach of the policy. However, the WSJ noted that it was unclear exactly how widely the orders were distributed but similar messages were also being communicated to employees at some central government regulatory agencies.
Neither Apple nor China’s State Council Information Office have yet confirmed the move or responded to requests for comment on the matter, the WSJ said.
The apparent move comes as China has been taking steps to cut its reliance on foreign technology in the interest of strengthening cybersecurity and preventing leaks of sensitive information outside the country.
In February, Beijing also demanded that multinational companies working in China, including the likes of Apple, Amazon, and JPMorgan Chase, must submit their data practices for audit before being allowed to export any locally generated data outside the country.
Similar steps have also been taken in Russia recently, where all members of the presidential administration focusing on domestic policy have been instructed to discard their iPhones. Other government officials have been warned against ever using Apple devices at work due to the threat of surveillance by foreign intelligence.
Meanwhile, the US has also barred its public officials from using Chinese phones from brands such as Huawei, or downloading and using the popular Chinese-owned TikTok social media app on their government-issued mobile devices. Lawmakers have raised concerns that Beijing could be attempting to gain access to American users’ data.

Central African States Suspend Gabon’s Membership After Coup
Image Credit: AFP via Getty Images
The Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) held an emergency summit on Monday at which Gabon’s membership was suspended until constitutional order is restored.
Gabon’s President Ali Bongo Ondimba was deposed in a coup last week by military officials who challenged the legitimacy of his August 26 re-election.
The summit produced a declaration calling on the Gabon junta to guarantee the safety of Bongo and his family, protect the rights of all citizens, and swiftly transition back to civilian rule.
ECCAS appointed Central African Republic (CAR) President Faustin-Archange Touadera to negotiate with the junta and warned that if these negotiations were unsuccessful, Gabon could face sanctions.
Bongo has not been seen since he was placed under house arrest by the junta on August 30, except for a video clip that went viral on social media in which the 64-year-old deposed president pleaded for help from his “friends all over the world.”
“My son is somewhere, and my wife is in another place, and I am at the residence. Nothing is happening; I don’t know what is going on, so I am calling you to make noise. I am thanking you,” Bongo said in the video. His 31-year-old son, Noureddin Bongo Valentin, was arrested by the junta and accused of treason.
The ECCAS summit was attended by Abdou Abarry, a representative for U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Abarry said the U.N. wanted to see strong rules and a firm foundation for democracy established in Gabon, with a transition back to civilian rule within a “reasonable” time frame but did not specifically demand Bongo be restored to power.
ECCAS is currently presided over by Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nuguema Mbasogo. Obiang said the coup in Gabon threatened the security and stability of the entire region.
The Africa Report suggested on Monday that Obiang, who is 81 years old and has been in power since 1979, is part of a regional “presidential club” with good reason to worry about coups and uprisings against fossilized and corrupt ruling parties. Gabon’s other northern neighbor, Cameroon, is ruled by 90-year-old President Paul Biya, who has been in power for four decades.
Bongo’s family has ruled Gabon for the past 56 years under mounting accusations of corruption similar to those faced by Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga’s regime. The putschists note that their coup was entirely bloodless and seems to enjoy support from a jubilant population that does not mind seeing the end of the Bongo dynasty, even though Ali Bongo supposedly won re-election with 64% of the vote in the dodgy August polls.
Africa News on Tuesday described a happy crowd of thousands turning out for an address by junta leader Gen. Brice Oligui Nguema in the capital city of Libreville. Younger Gabonese seemed especially delighted that the “weight” of the ruling dynasty had been lifted from them at last:
“We feel freedom, joy, happiness!” , enthuses Lucrèce Mengué, 28 years old, among the first arrivals to secure a place of choice “at the forefront of the history that is being written” , she says.
… “We are young, we are doing good studies, but without being able to find work,” regrets Anouchka Minang, a 31-year-old midwife, unemployed for five years, and who takes on odd jobs to get by.
She says she is grateful that General Oligui has “taken a look at parents and retirees” , after his promise to privatize pension and health insurance funds in order to put an end to the nightmare of those who do not receive their pensions due to catastrophic management.
If anything, the crowd in Libreville seemed apprehensive that the junta would not kick enough Bongo officials out of office, showing particular venom toward those accused of corruption.
“They are the ones who caused us harm; they pretended to say that it was democracy, but it was a dictatorship in which they shared the cake. It stops there. We really don’t want them anymore. We have brave people to restore this country who are still clean,” said one coup supporter.
The New York Times (NYT) admitted last week that Western officials were blinded to Bongo’s growing unpopularity by his pro-Western attitude, his jocular style — he has his own “disco-funk album” and maintains a music studio in his presidential palace — and above all by his usefulness to environmental activists.
“In many ways, Gabon has more in common with some Persian Gulf states than with its African neighbors. It has a tiny population of 2.3 million people, huge oil wealth, and a country that is sparsely inhabited; 88 percent of the land is forest, and roads are few,” the NYT observed.
As with the oil emirates of the Middle East, the Bongo family liked to shower itself in “the baubles of super wealth,” from expensive cars to lavish vacations.
Gabon is not quite as impoverished as some other kleptocracies, but it does have a 30% poverty rate, and the Bongo clan’s lifestyle was obnoxiously regal compared to even its more prosperous businessmen, and the French government has been scrutinizing Ali Bongo’s extensive purchases of very expensive real estate in Nice.
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), which has produced landmark corruption exposés such as the Panama Papers and Pandora Papers, wrote an epitaph for the Bongo dynasty as outright “kleptocrats” who milked a “network of patronage” built with Gabon’s petrodollars.
“Amid a flagging economy, rising costs of living and growing inequality, a tiny elite connected to Bongo and his inner circle thrived as the growing wealth gap fueled popular resentment,” the ICIJ charged.
“The Bongos flaunted their status as one of Africa’s richest first families, maintaining fleets of luxury cars in a country with fewer miles of paved roads than of oil pipelines, and buying mansions in the United States and France,” the ICIJ said, noting that the Bongo dynasty was among the more enthusiastic users of offshore shell companies to hide pilfered wealth to be uncovered by the Pandora Papers investigation.
And yet, as the NYT awkwardly conceded, Western officials and media were largely willing to overlook the kleptocracy because Bongo was a self-styled super-conservationist and constant presence at climate change summits. Ali Bongo was said to be a talented musician. He certainly knew how to play the Western foreign policy establishment like a fiddle.
If there is a “contagion of autocracy” spreading through Africa — as Nigerian President Bola Tinubu described the wave of coups last week — it might be because weary populations think military rulers are less likely to rob them blind and blow the loot on French chalets than ancient strongmen who somehow win “re-election” for decades on end.

There Is Talk In Russia About Hitting Targets In The U.S. Because Nuclear War Has Become “Inevitable”
Most Americans have absolutely no idea how close we are to nuclear war. Our politicians confidently assure us that the war in Ukraine will never spark a nuclear conflict, and the mainstream media in the western world rarely talks about such a scenario. But over in Russia, things are completely different. They regard the war in Ukraine as an existential conflict between Russia and NATO, and there is constant talk on Russian television about the possibility of nuclear war. Here is the latest example that I have come across…
A Kremlin propagandist has issued the latest nuclear threat against the West regarding the war in Ukraine, warning that the U.S. could be in danger of a Russian missile attack.
Igor Korotchenko, editor of the newspaper National Defense and a regular guest on the Russia 1 channel where guests have repeatedly called for strikes against Ukraine’s allies, took exception to criticism of Russian conduct in the war.
During his recent appearance on the Russia 1 channel, Korotchenko openly talked about a “first strike” which would involve hitting “targets on the territory of the United States of America”…
“The most important message we should send to the Americans is that we will not wage war with you in Europe,” he said in a clip subsequently posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Ukrainian internal affairs adviser Anton Gerashchenko.
“In response to your attacks on Russian military or civilian facilities, the first strike will be a preventative limited strike against targets on the territory of the United States of America,” he told the anchor of 60 Minutes, Yevgeny Popov. Last week, Russia announced that its Sarmat strategic missile system, which can reach the U.S., had been put on combat duty.
That is pretty stunning.
But Korotchenko’s remarks are tame compared to what retired Major General Alexander Vladimirov is saying.
Vladimirov is the author of Russia’s “war bible”, and he is entirely convinced that a nuclear war involving the United States and Russia has become “inevitable”…
Nuclear war is the ‘inevitable’ conclusion of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a Russian general who wrote the nation’s ‘war bible’ has warned.
The chilling forecast came from retired Major General Alexander Vladimirov, who penned Russia’s three volume book called the ‘General Theory of War’.
Why didn’t this make headline news all over the United States?
According to Vladimirov, “nuclear weapons will be used in this war”, and he wants his country to actively prepare for such an outcome so that they will have the best chance to survive…
He warned: ‘I am sure that nuclear weapons will be used in this war – inevitably, and from this neither we nor the enemy have anywhere to go.
‘The sooner our politicians and leadership realise this, the sooner we start to train troops and the population for this – the more chances we will have for survival, which means victory.’
Sadly, Vladimirov is seeing things quite clearly.
If we stay on the path that we are on, it will result in the unthinkable.
That is why so many of us have been advocating for a peaceful solution in Ukraine.
Unfortunately, Joe Biden and his minions just keep escalating matters. They are deeply frustrated with how poorly Ukraine’s counteroffensive has fared, and they are pushing the Ukrainians to make more of an effort to achieve a breakthrough in the south…
Half a dozen US officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The New York Times and other outlets that they are starting to question some of Ukraine’s military tactics, including where on the frontline they are placing their combat units.
Ukrainian commanders are dividing their forces equally between the east and the south of the country when they should be consolidating them more in the south, the officials said.
They urged Ukraine to push through the vast minefields left behind by Russia in the area, even if this means losing more soldiers and equipment in the process, according to the reports.
But what are the Ukrainians supposed to do?
The Russian defenses are extremely well prepared, and tens of thousands of Ukrainian men have already been slaughtered during fruitless attempts to break through Russian lines.
Meanwhile, the Russians have been making significant gains on the eastern front…
The Ukrainian Army is facing a major strategic defeat on the eastern front as it shows obvious signs of collapse along the entire defensive axis from Kupyansk to Svyatovo-Kremina-Liman-Serebryansky-Belogorovka.
As we can see, the situation in the Kupyansk and Krasnolimansky directions is becoming more and more difficult for the Ukrainian formations.
It is no coincidence that Kiev forces in the Kharkiv region, with the support of the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine), conduct door-to-door walks in the territory, and almost all men, even the elderly, are mobilized into the ranks of Ukrainian formations.
The Ukrainians are running out of warm bodies.
At some point they are going to get very desperate.
And as I always say, desperate people do desperate things.
At the same time, war with China just keeps getting closer and closer.
This week, the Biden administration approved an 80 million dollar military weapons package for Taiwan “under a program typically saved for sovereign nations”…
The Biden administration has approved funding for the first-ever transfer of US military equipment to Taiwan under a program typically saved for sovereign nations, according to a notification sent to Congress on Tuesday.
The package – which is part of the State Department’s foreign military financing (FMF) program – totals $80 million and will be paid for by US taxpayers.
“FMF will be used to strengthen Taiwan’s self-defense capabilities through joint and combined defense capability and enhanced maritime domain awareness and maritime security capability,” the department wrote in its notification to Congress that was reviewed by CNN.
Needless to say, this move absolutely infuriated the Chinese…
China’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday expressed “strong dissatisfaction” and “firm opposition” at the arms sale, which it said had harmed “China’s sovereignty and security interests” and undermined “peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.”
It urged the US to “cease enhancing US-Taiwan military connections and arming Taiwan” and “stop creating tensions across the Taiwan Strait,” ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a regular news conference.
China’s Defense Ministry also lashed out at the sale, saying the Chinese military will “take all necessary measures to resolutely counter this.”
Ever since Joe Biden entered the White House, his administration has been endlessly provoking both the Russians and the Chinese.
In the process, they have been driven closer together.
And now the Russians are actually proposing that North Korea should also be included in upcoming joint naval exercises…
Russia has reportedly proposed conducting three-way naval exercises with North Korea and China in the Indo-Pacific, potentially formalizing a union between countries that already individually pose security threats to the U.S. and its allies.
According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, South Korea’s National Intelligence Service revealed the proposal to lawmakers in a closed-door briefing on Monday, alleging that the Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu offered such a show of alliance to North Korea during his meeting with Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in July. Just this past weekend, Russia’s ambassador to North Korea, Alexander Matsegora, told Russian media that it “seems appropriate” to include North Korea in joint military drills between Russia and China.
The stage is being set for the hot phase of World War III.
But most Americans are clueless about all of this.
Most Americans simply believe it when our “experts” tell them that everything is going to be just fine, and for the moment ignorance is bliss.

China Uses 6G Terahertz To Hunt US Submarines
According to the project team with the National University of Defense Technology, China has tested using 6G terahertz to hunt US submarines.
Researchers claim that China has tested the world’s first submarine detection system based on next-generation communication technology.
According to experts involved in the experiment, the terahertz device detected incredibly minuscule surface tremors caused by a low-frequency sound source in the open sea.
As little as 10 nanometers tall, these waves were much below the current technology’s detection threshold.
According to the researchers, tracking and analyzing these waves can not only assist in locating the submarine but also gather crucial information, such as the noise signature or the model of the submarine.
According to the project team with the National University of Defence Technology, the technology “will have significant application potential in underwater vessel detection and other areas.” On August 11, their work was published in the peer-reviewed Chinese-language Journal of Radars.
A frequency range between microwave and infrared radiation is called terahertz. For the sixth generation of communication technology, or 6G, terahertz technology has been suggested as a potential solution for delivering large data rates and minimal latency.
In addition to carrying a lot more data than current communication systems, electromagnetic signals in this range can also gather environmental data. Terahertz screening tools, for instance, are used in several airports in China to find prohibited objects hidden beneath passengers’ clothing.
Until recently, it was challenging to produce strong terahertz transmissions, but with recent increases in 6G spending, researchers in China and other nations have made advancements that enable widespread usage of the technology.
The Chinese team claims that thanks to advancements, the terahertz undersea detector may eventually be small enough to be mounted on a drone.
“A small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform has the advantage of good mobility, low cost and flexible deployment,” they said in the paper.
Additionally, it might function in conjunction with other techniques for finding submarines, such as laser, microwave radar, or a magnetic anomaly detector (MAD).
“As a supplement to existing detection methods, it can provide important information for the detection and identification of submarines,” they added.
The experiment was carried out, according to the publication, in an unidentified place in the Yellow Sea, off the northeastern city of Dalian, at an unspecified time. According to their study, the weather was good at the time of the test, but breaking waves generated a lot of bubbles.
China is trying out the biggest coil gun globally, which can shoot a heavy object weighing over 100 kilograms (220 pounds) at a speed of 700 kilometers per hour (435 miles per hour) in less than 0.05 seconds.
To imitate submarine noise, the military scientists employed an artificial sound source. The undersea detector was mounted on an extended arm of a research ship and flown like a drone.
According to the researchers, when a submarine is moving quickly, “it produces significant radiated noise that propagates to the water surface and excites surface vibration.”
By the time it reaches the surface, the disturbance is incredibly weak. It was previously believed to be impossible to separate it from the ocean’s natural waves.
According to the state of the sea during the test, the terahertz sensor detected man-made ripples with an amplitude ranging from 10 to 100 nanometers.
The team referred to the outcome as a hardware and software miracle.
It was extremely sensitive due to the high frequency of terahertz vibrations. The Chinese researchers claim to have also created the first algorithm in history that can accurately detect ocean waves as small as a nanometer.
They claimed that undersea communication might utilize the same method.
To coordinate their movements in a significant military operation, friendly aircraft and a submarine occasionally need to make contact. The captain was able to encrypt information into surface vibrations that were too small for enemy forces to pick up.
“By detecting acoustically induced surface vibration signals, it is possible to invert the information conveyed by underwater sound sources,” the team said.
The terahertz technology “has high signal resolution” for cross-medium communication, which is still a difficulty for naval powers, according to the results of the sea tests, they claimed.
Separate close-range communication studies between water and the air have also used 6G technology and had successful results, they claimed.

Top Republican warns US not to ‘go wobbly’ on Ukraine
The US Congress should approve an additional $20 billion in funding for Ukraine, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Wednesday. The Republican senator from Kentucky argued that the aid provided by Washington to Kiev has been weakening Moscow “without firing a shot.”
In a speech on the Senate floor, McConnell claimed that President Joe Biden “has not been as decisive as many of us have preferred” when it comes to funding Ukraine’s war effort, but that this was not a reason for Congress to “compound the administration’s failures with failures of our own.”
“Helping Ukraine retake its territory means weakening one of America’s biggest strategic adversaries without firing a shot,” the senator argued.
With Kiev “eroding Russia’s capacity to threaten NATO,” McConnell claimed, “it is not the time to ease up,” and with NATO unified and European countries starting to spend money on their militaries, “it is certainly not the time to go wobbly.”
That particular line was made famous in 1990 by British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who used it to urge US President George H.W. Bush to launch a war against Iraq over Kuwait.
McConnell also suggested that Congress would pass the supplemental government funding bill before the end of the month, which is intended to avoid a government shutdown before the new fiscal year starts in October.
The proposed spending bill has bundled $20.1 billion for Ukraine with disaster relief for fire-stricken Hawaii, despite objections from some Republicans who wanted to vote on the packages separately.
The US Congress has approved over $130 billion in funds for Ukraine since February 2022. America’s aid to Kiev has included weapons, equipment and ammunition, as well as cash remittances to pay the salaries of government officials.
When some Republicans tried to curtail the spending spree last December, McConnell insisted that aiding Ukraine was the “number one priority of the US,” and helped the Democrats to pass the 4,155-page omnibus spending bill.

BREAKING: 61 'Stop Cop City' Antifa militants indicted on RICO, other charges in Atlanta
On Tuesday, over 60 "Stop Cop City" protestors were indicted in Fulton County, Georgia on charges in connection with their efforts to prevent the construction of a police training facility near Atlanta earlier this year.
The defendants, collectively branded an "enterprise of militant anarchists, eco-activists and community organizers," have all been accused of violating the state's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). Individual defendants are also facing other charges related to their particular roles. The indictment alleges that "the purpose of Defend the Atlanta Forest is to occupy of parts or all of 381 forested acres in DeKalb County, Georgia that is owned by Atlanta Police Foundation and leased by the City of Atlanta for the purpose of preventing the construction of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center."
"Each individual charged in this indictment," it states, "knowing joined the conspiracy in an attempt to prevent the training center from being built."
Among those named in the indictment is SPLC lawyer Thomas Webb Jurgens. The 28-year-old was one of 28 people accused of domestic terrorism in March over his role in an Antifa-linked attack on police officers and the future site of the training facility. The SPLC defended him, suggesting he had been "a legal observer."Tuesday's indictment reiterates that Jurgens "did join and organized mob and succeeded in overwhelming the police force, thereby aiding and abetting in the offense of Arson and Domestic Terrorism in an attempt to occupy the DeKalb forest and prevent the building of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center," all of which amounted to "an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy."
For months, Antifa members and other far-left extremists wreaked havoc on the area, carrying out numerous attacks, setting up potentially deadly booby traps, and generally making it impossible for officials to move forward on the project.
During a Tuesday afternoon press conference, Georgia Attorney General Christopher Carr said, "As the indictment asserts, members of Defend the Atlanta Forest subscribe to a philosophy of anarchy."
"They hold a core belief that society should abolish police, government, and private business, and as further alleged they’re willing to bring about such changes 'by any means necessary' including violence," he said, adding that the group recruited and trained individuals from Georgia and beyond "to participate in this criminal enterprise."
This is a breaking story and will be updated.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt: Elon Musk is Inciting Violence Against Jewish People by Criticizing Us
Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt on Tuesday responded to Twitter/X owner Elon Musk’s criticism of their aggressive pro-censorship ad boycott campaigns by accusing him of “engaging with a highly toxic antisemitic campaign” which will incite violence against Jewish people.
From Haaretz, “ADL Hits Back at Elon Musk for Engaging With ‘Highly Toxic Antisemitic Campaign’ “:
Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt on Tuesday issued his first public comments after an antisemitic social media campaign spearheaded by X chairman Elon Musk targeted his organization.
“It is profoundly disturbing that Elon Musk spent the weekend engaging with a highly toxic antisemitic campaign on his platform — a campaign started by an unrepentant bigot that then was heavily promoted by individuals such as white supremacist Nick Fuentes, Christian nationalist Andrew Torba, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and others,” Greenblatt said.
Musk had defended himself against allegations of antisemitism, all while he and several of his prominent far-right supporters accused the ADL of fomenting antisemitism in an act of explicit victim-blaming. Musk further threatened to take legal action against the Jewish anti-discrimination organization, accusing it of being behind the company’s $22 billion drop in value after advertisers fled en masse over the proliferation of hate speech on the platform following his takeover.
Greenblatt noted that the campaign “manifested in the real world when masked men marched in Florida on Saturday brazenly waving flags adorned with swastikas and chanting ‘Ban the ADL.’ “
“But to be clear, the real issue is neither ADL nor the threat of a frivolous lawsuit. This urgent matter is the safety of the Jewish people in the face of increasing, intensifying antisemitism,” he continued.
The ADL CEO charged Musk with engaging with and elevating these antisemites at a time of unprecedented spikes in antisemitism targeting Jewish institutions and private residential communities.
“And so, this behavior is not just alarming nor reckless. It is flat out dangerous and deeply irresponsible. We need responsible leaders to lead, to stop inflaming hatred and to step back from the brink before it’s too late,” Greenblatt added.
Musk can probably add this inflammatory rhetoric to his lawsuit against the ADL.
Without a doubt, the time when the most “unprecedented spikes in antisemitism targeting Jewish institutions” occurred was in 2017 after Trump’s election when over 245 bomb threats were called into Jewish community centers throughout America.
The ADL used the threats to harangue President Trump for “emboldening anti-Semites” and legislation was passed as a result of lobbying from the ADL to increase funding and security grants to Jewish groups.
It turned out nearly all of the JCC bomb threats were carried out by “18 year old” Israeli-American Michael Ron David Kadar, who was found to have a bitcoin wallet worth millions of shekels (a few copycat threats were called in by African-American Juan Thompson).
Kadar was found guilty in Israel in June 2018 for the bomb threats and sentenced to ten years in prison.
In 2019, evidence was dug up by geneticist Franklin Stahl, Ph.D., a member of the National Academy of Science, suggesting that Kadar’s Israeli mother, Dr. Tamar Kadar, who is a chemical weapons researcher at the Mossad-operated Israeli Institute for Biological Research, may have been the real culprit behind the calls.
Stahl reported that Kadar, who evidence indicates was actually 27 years old and not 18 years old at the time of his arrest, was nothing more than a fall guy. Additionally, Kadar appears to have been freed from prison by Israel and allowed to travel back to America only to be arrested and jailed on a weapons charge in Illinois.
Kadar’s story completely fell off the map shortly after it was uncritically reported in 2017 and the ADL refused to remove his hoax calls from their list of “anti-Semitic incidents” for 2017.
The ADL never apologized to Trump or his supporters for smearing them for supposedly inciting these (hoax) bomb threats and never offered to give back the money they got from Congress due to hyping the threats.
“The new information does not change our view that the bomb threats against Jewish institutions were anti-Semitic and harmful to the communities targeted,” the ADL said in a press release after Kadar’s arrest. “No matter who placed the calls or why the calls were placed, the outcome was the same: they instilled fear and disrupted communities across the country.”

FDA set to approve, roll out new COVID shots within the next week
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — Updated booster shots are anticipated to gain FDA approval and hit the market as soon as next week. The news comes amid reports of renewed COVID-related measures and worries that full-scale mandates could make a pre-election comeback.
ABC News reported that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is likely to greenlight injections, which are reportedly formulated to target the XBB.1.5. variant of the coronavirus, a subvariant of omicron. Officials also argue it will be effective against the most recently observed strain, known as BA.2.86.
On September 12, an advisory panel for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is set to consider their vaccination recommendations based upon eligibility.
“The CDC director is expected to sign off, with shots to be available soon after,” ABC reported.
The jabs are anticipated to hit the market as early as September 13.
The news comes after U.S. President Joe Biden said late last month that he was asking Congress to fund the development of the new COVID-19 jab.
Shortly thereafter, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre spoke to reporters about the updated COVID shot and confirmed that the Biden administration wants Americans to get it.
“Vaccinations against COVID-19 remains the safest protection for avoiding hospitalization, long-term health outcomes and death, which is why we are going to be encouraging Americans to stay up to date on their vaccines,” Jean-Pierre said.
She did not mention that the available COVID-19 injections fail to provide lasting protection, do not stop transmission, and have been linked to serious side effects up to and including death.
And critics of the newest round of shots have argued the injections are unnecessary and harmful.
Dr. Paul Alexander, a Canadian health researcher who held a role in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the Trump administration during the initial COVID outbreak, reacted to the news by denouncing it as “utter garbage.”
“Those taking the booster will not only have an ineffective vaccination but will be at risk for infection as the vaccine is driving the vaccinated to become infected and also becoming severely ill,” he said.
He advised Americans not to “fall for the garbage” and to “take none of these boosters.”
John Campbell, a retired nurse teacher from the U.K. with a diploma in nursing from the University of London, a BSc in biology from the Open University, an MSc in health science from the University of Lancaster, and a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Bolton, said of the new BA 2.86 variant in an August 29 YouTube video that it’s “very unlikely it’s going to make people sicker.”
“In fact, all the evidence so far shows that it is not,” he said. “Personally, I’m not worried about this. It’s just to be expected that there’s going to be viral evolution.”
Campbell also referenced an article in the journal Nature in which Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center viral evolutionary biologist Jesse Bloom similarly suggested the new variant was not a cause for alarm.
“I don’t think anybody needs to be alarmed by this,” Bloom said. “The most likely scenario is that this variant fizzles out, and in a month nobody other than people like me even remember that it existed.”

The Curious Case of the Spreading Red Meat Allergy.
“A rare meat allergy from tick bites is rising and may have already impacted as many as 450,000 people,” says the CDC who adds that there now is a “steep increase in cases of alpha-gal syndrome (AGS).”
AGS, they claim, “has been traced to the saliva from the lone star tick and their blood-sucking bites which can make a person sick when they consume certain meat and animal products made from mammals.”
Arguably, this seems to be more propaganda from the globalists in order to drive their “meat-free agenda,” and Simon Lee, Science Officer, Anew UK asks if this is “the most politically convenient allergy in history?”
The Curious Case of the Spreading Red Meat Allergy.
By Simon Lee
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) red meat allergies caused by certain types of ticks is an “emerging public health concern”.
(AGS), is a serious and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction to a type of sugar found in most mammals called alpha-gal.
A bite from the lone star tick can transfer alpha-gal into the body, by a non-oral route, thereby priming the body to launch an immune response whenever the sugar is subsequently eaten.
Amblyomma americanum (lone star tick) is found across the south-eastern and eastern United States, as well as Mexico and parts of Canada. The “lone star” name is due to the tick having a single spot on its back, but it is also known as the northeastern water tick or the turkey tick.
The lone star tick is less likely to transmit Lyme disease compared to other ticks, but it is thought to transmit several other diseases besides AGS.
It uses thick underbrush or high grass to attach to its victim and can be found in wooded areas as well as areas between grassy and forested ecosystems.
According to the CDC:
“The number of suspected AGS cases in the United States has increased substantially since 2010, and states with established populations of lone star ticks are most affected, although suspected AGS cases were also identified in areas outside of this tick’s range.”
Because some of these ticks prey on deer, they can be transferred across state lines to new environments as herds migrate. This means increasing deer populations and/or environmental factors that cause herd migrations(like land development), may be responsible for introducing alpha-gal-carrying ticks to other states.
Unlike allergic reactions to other foods, which are usually immediate, AGS reactions can occur 3 to 6 hours after eating red meat and they can sometimes be severe life-threatening anaphylaxis reactions.
AGS symptoms can range from mild to severe and include a rash, hives, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, shortness of breath, stomach pain, and heartburn.
According to Dr. Johanna Salzer:
“The burden of alpha-gal syndrome in the United States could be substantial given the large percentage of cases suspected to be going undiagnosed due to non-specific and inconsistent symptoms.”
There is a lack of clinical awareness amongst doctors, but if AGS is suspected there is a blood test that looks for specific antibodies to alpha-gal.
A CDC survey found that 42% of 1,500 US healthcare professionals had never heard of AGS, and 35% said they were “not too confident” in their ability to diagnose it, and only 5% said they were “very confident.”
Between 2010 and 2022, about 110,000 cases of AGS have been officially diagnosed, but the true number of AGS cases may be as high as 450,000.
Those with suspected AGS are mainly in Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Suffolk County, on New York’s Long Island, but there are also focal clusters of cases in areas where there are no known established populations of lone star ticks, such as Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The geographic distribution of AGS is very similar to that of ehrlichiosis, a bacterial infection known to be transmitted by the lone star tick.
AGS has now been reported on all continents except Antarctica, and at least eight tick species are confirmed or suspected culprits.
At the 2016 World Science Festival, Dr. Matthew Liao (philosopher and bioethicist) openly discussed using genetic engineering of humans to “address climate change.”
He openly advocated artificially inducing a red meat allergy in the entire human population, using an analogue of the alpha-gal molecule found in the lone star tick, so as to fight “climate change.” He said:
“People eat too much meat. And if they were to cut down on their consumption of meat, then it would actually really help the planet. But people are not willing to give up meat. Some people will be willing to, but other people – they may be willing to but they have a weakness of will.”
He postulated that human engineering could be used to make people intolerant to certain kinds of meat, or to certain kinds of bovine proteins:
“There’s this thing called the Lone Star tick where if it bites you, you will become allergic to meat… So that’s something we can do through human engineering. We can possibly address really big world problems through human engineering.”
He was evidently openly plotting to trigger a potentially very serious allergic disease in humans without their consent at the population level, which is ethically repugnant, especially since researchers have found that worldwide, meat intake is associated with a longer life. Animal-based foods and especially meat are vital for growth, development, mental function, and a long life.
We know that genetically engineered mosquitoes have already been released in Florida and Texas and there are plans to release more in California against the wishes of many residents and environmental groups. There’s no informed consent for populations being exposed to this massive experiment. Some researchers have referred to these mosquitoes as “small flying syringes”.
The Gates Foundation is heavily invested in the GM mosquito project, investing more than $30 million in Oxitec, the biotech company releasing the “flying syringes”.
Locally acquired malaria has been non-existent in the US for the last 20 years, but five such cases have recently been diagnosed – four in Florida and one in Texas.
Coincidence? Perhaps not.
Coincidence that red meat allergy is on the rise worldwide? perhaps not.
The Most Politically Convenient Allergy in History?
The globalist social engineers have been pushing a meat-free agenda for decades. Red meat consumption has been falsely linked to poor health and a fake planetary climate catastrophe.
The propaganda has convinced many people to give up meat, although not enough of us have been convinced to do so. What better way to stop people eating meat than a potentially life-threatening allergy?
There is no specific AGS treatment, so people are being encouraged to get a proper diagnosis, so they know what foods and products they should avoid. Worryingly, the severe health impacts can last a lifetime for some people.
Rather conveniently “experts” are warning that the range of the lone star tick is expanding due to “climate change”.
The spreading of alpha-gal syndrome by ticks carried by wild deer populations, could perhaps be used as a pretext to cull the deer and put an end to food independence by those that hunt deer for their meat?
People sensitized to alpha-gal have also reported symptoms after inhaling fumes of meat being cooked. So, in addition to developing symptoms after eating meat, some people apparently have symptoms after inhaling meat fumes. This could be used as a pretext to ban barbeques and all types of outdoor social gatherings where meat is enjoyed. Maybe we will be forced to close our windows when cooking meat just in case a sensitised vegan happens to be passing by?
A new breed of pig, called GalSafe pigs, have been genetically engineered to eliminate alpha-gal so that those suffering from AGS will be able to enjoy pork chops and bacon once again. This ties in nicely with the globalists agenda to own and control everything that we eat.
Given the anti-red meat propaganda of recent years, AGS does appear to be the most politically convenient food allergy of all time. Perhaps our would-be masters would prefer us all to be physically weak, cognitively weak, emotionally unstable, low in testosterone, chronically ill, and dependent on their patented food supply chains.

Pennsylvania High School QB Needs 'Miracle' After Collapsing Mid-Game, Family Says
Authored by Lorenz Duchamps via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),
A high school football player in Pennsylvania needs "a miracle" after collapsing on the field in the middle of a game on Sept. 1, according to his family, who said in a health update on Sept. 3 that the 17-year-old has been in critical condition for more than 36 hours.
Mason Martin, a quarterback for Karns City High School, suffered a "significant brain bleed as well as a collapsed lung," his family told KDKA-TV.
The matchup between the Karns City Gremlins and Redbank Valley Bulldogs was cut short in the third quarter when referee Mike Vasbinder noticed Martin started to stagger after he received a hit during the game.
Despite the hit, the quarterback continued to play defense without any apparent issue until he left the field for the extra point and then came back for the return kick-off. However, the referee noticed something was off before the play started, prompting him to blow his whistle as Martin collapsed.
"I had to talk to him, and when I asked if he was alright, he told me, 'no,'" Mr. Vasbinder said, according to the Butler Eagle. "So that's when I knew something was wrong."
The game was stopped early and the Redbanks were named the winner as they were leading 35–6 when the incident occurred.
Mr. Vasbinder said the medical emergency led staff members to enforce a series of protocols, including some of which the referee never had to follow in a game before last week's incident.
"When we saw it got to the point where they were bringing on an ambulance, we talked to Redbank Valley’s coach and Karns City’s coach, who was obviously with his player," he said. "And we just tried to stay back and keep calm, so things didn’t escalate."
Martin was taken off the field in a Karns City ambulance before being flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh in a STAT MedEvac helicopter, D9Sports.com reported.
His mother, Stacy King Martin, shared an update on her son’s health condition in a statement on social media on Sept. 3, thanking everyone for their love and support.
"Mason remains in critical condition with little change over the last 36 hours," her message reads. "The truth is we need a miracle. I'm not saying that to sound grim, but to let you know that we need the strength of your prayers."
"No one believes in this kid more than us, but he needs everyone's strength and prayers," the message continues. "Right now, we have to wait for the swelling to go down to assess the extent of the damage to the brain. So please pray the way he has always played the game, all out holding nothing back, maybe a little angry, definitely aggressive."
The Karns City Gremlin Football Program also issued a lengthy statement after the incident, saying the school has counselors available for students and staff who need to talk to someone after witnessing Martin's serious on-the-field injury.
Brittany Thompson, a spectator who was there with her daughter, said the situation was reminiscent of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin's collapse during the Jan. 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"We're not from this school district, but my daughter wanted to come to the game," Ms. Thompson said, the Butler Eagle reported. "It’s just really scary."
Mr. Hamlin revealed the official cause of his collapse during a press conference in April, saying he collapsed due to a condition that mostly happens to teenagers playing baseball.
"The diagnosis of what happened to me was basically commotio cordis. It's a direct blow at a specific point in your heartbeat that causes cardiac arrest," he explained. "And five to seven seconds later, you fall out."
Cardiac Issues Among Young Athletes
News of Martin's medical emergency comes about a month after Lebron James's son, Bronny James, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while he was practicing for the USC basketball team.
A spokesperson for the family said on Aug. 26 that a congenital heart defect likely caused the cardiac arrest. The condition had been identified "after a comprehensive initial evaluation" at the center and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center.
"It is an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated," the spokesperson said in a statement.
However, soon after the medical situation, rampant speculation emerged on social media, including a post from X owner Elon Musk suggesting that the cardiac incident was associated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
"We cannot ascribe everything to the vaccine, but, by the same token, we cannot ascribe nothing. Myocarditis is a known side effect. The only question is whether it is rare or common," the Tesla CEO said in late July.
At the same time, CNN interviewed its own medical analyst, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who asserted that the younger James's health scare, as well as similar sudden cardiac arrest events involving young athletes, are "more common than people realize."
Last month, the death of Caleb White, 17, from Alabama's Pinson Valley High School also became a hot topic online as inquiries continue into the unclear links between COVID-19, COVID-19 vaccines, and heart issues.
"24 hours ago, my grandson Caleb White collapsed on the basketball court, went into cardiac arrest and all attempts to resuscitate him failed. This was similar to the illness Labron James' son experienced as he was working out," Caleb’s grandfather, George Varnadoe Jr., said in a Facebook post on Aug. 11.
Studies on Vaccine Risks
A study funded by the South Korean government has confirmed that COVID-19 vaccines can cause sudden death. In June, authorities said that eight people died suddenly after receiving an mRNA vaccine due to myocarditis.
All the sudden cardiac deaths (SCD) occurred in people aged 45 and younger. One of the victims was a 33-year-old man who died just one day after he received the second shot of the Moderna vaccine. Another case involved a 30-year-old woman who died three days after getting her first dose of a Pfizer vaccine.
The results show the need for "careful monitoring or warning of SCD as a potentially fatal complication of COVID-19 vaccination, especially in individuals who are ages under 45 years with mRNA vaccination," the study said.
In an interview with The Epoch Times, Dr. Andrew Bostom, a retired professor of medicine in the United States, said that the results show why mandating COVID-19 vaccines for young people was flawed.
“These are people who ostensibly did not need the vaccine,” he said. “That's what adds insult to injury.”

Trump addresses vaccine adverse events, says Big Pharma needs to immediately disclose all safety data
If elected president once again in 2024, Donald Trump has promised not to go along with a possible COVID 2.0 event, which fake president Joe Biden has been hinting lately could come as soon as this fall.
Trump spoke with conservative political commentator and former Michigan gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon in an exclusive interview about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), which Trump proudly addressed with the launch of Operation Warp Speed.
When asked by Dixon "what happens in a Trump administration when COVID comes back," Trump was definitive in stating that "we don't do shutdowns, for one thing."
"And it sounds to me like if something's coming back, they blame everything," Trump added, suggesting that the call-everything-bad-COVID routine is overplayed and people are wise to the shenanigans at this point.
"They say it's COVID because they love using the word COVID. If you have a flu season, they call it COVID. We had that then, too, by the way. You had a lot of flu. You had a lot of this, and they like to say everything's COVID. But let's see what happens. I mean, there could be something happening."
When asked about Biden's plans to unleash another round of COVID "booster" shots this fall, Trump was quick to point out that there have been many, many complaints about injuries and deaths caused by the last round that emerged through his Operation Warp Speed scheme.
"We're hearing about a lot of complaints from vaccine injured, to say a lot," Trump said. "It's, like, an understatement."
"Numerous pharmaceutical companies have refused to release their data on vaccine side effects. But we've seen cases of myocarditis, blood clots and heart attacks. They're all increasing. The research has never been released."
This is the first time, by the way, that Trump has said anything remotely truthful about COVID jabs. Up until this point, Trump has called them a "miracle," and even in his interview with Dixon he tried to claim that the Trump administration "handed him over a great situation," referring to Biden.
"So will you demand that the vaccine companies, that the pharmaceutical companies, release their vaccine data to the public so that we can see what they're actually seeing about the side effects of this vaccine?" Dixon asked Trump.
"Well, they should do that," Trump responded. "We're all in this together, and they should be doing that."
"And frankly, anything new, and I hadn't heard what he [Biden] said yet, but anything new has got to be looked at very carefully. But they should be doing that if they have facts. I mean, the facts are public. They should be made public immediately. People should understand that, and they should know what research is showing and what fact-finding."
Trump would go on in the interview to blame China and the "Wuhan lab" for releasing COVID, which he says caused "$60 trillion in damages, so many people dead, millions and millions of people all over the world."
Dixon then brought up the fact that the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act, which was signed into law under Trump's watch by a Republican-led Congress, shields pharmaceutical and vaccine companies from all liability for COVID jab injuries until December 2024.
Trump addressed this by stating that he believes Big Pharma has to "be honest with the numbers, the facts, and they have an obligation to be honest."

University of Arizona Instructs Future Pediatric Nurses to Ask 3-Year-Olds If They ‘Feel’ Transgender
Slides from a college course taught at the University of Arizona show future pediatric nurses being instructed that children can know if they’re the wrong gender at the age of three.
Additionally, nurses are told to inquire what gender the children “feel on the inside.”
News of the disturbing slideshow presentation surfaced Wednesday courtesy of conservative watchdog group Libs of TikTok, which disseminated photos of the lesson on the X social media platform.
A slide titled, “Asking pediatric patients about gender identity,” advises nurses “what to ask – ages 3 to 13,” going on to give an example of how a nurse might broach the subject with a young patient:
“Some kids feel like a girl on the inside, some kids feel like a boy on the inside, and some kids feel like neither, both, or someone else. What about you? How do you feel on the inside? There’s no right or wrong answer.”
Another slide titled, “When to ask,” explicitly tells nurses to “Start around age 3, during the well visit,” otherwise known as their yearly routine checkup.
The Libs of TikTok report ruffled feathers on X, where it received an exclamation mark reply from X owner Elon Musk.
The training slides show how gender studies and liberal indoctrination are being impressed upon the nation’s future medical workers from the top down, likely one contributing factor to why so-called gender dysphoria is so rampant.
News of the slides comes on the heels of another report this week showing employees of healthcare provider Kaiser Permanente are being presented staff training videos asserting that three-year-old children can express transgender identities and offering a list of bizarre LGBT terms.
The University of Arizona did not respond to Infowars’ request for comment as of writing.

Scientists grow human embryo in lab without sperm, eggs or womb
Researchers at the Weizmann Institute have successfully developed a structure resembling an early human embryo, all without the use of sperm, eggs, or a womb, BBC reported. The breakthrough was published in the journal Nature.
Weizmann Institute scientists grow human embryo model using stem cells, without sperm or eggs
This remarkable “embryo model” was created using stem cells and mimics all the important structures that emerge during the early stages of embryo development. Impressively, this model even produced hormones that led to a positive result on a pregnancy test in a laboratory setting.
The ultimate goal behind these embryo models is to offer an ethical approach to gaining insights into the earliest stages of human life.
“It’s a black box and that’s not a cliche – our knowledge is very limited,” Prof Jacob Hanna, from the Weizmann Institute of Science, told BBC.
Although it might be technically feasible to cultivate organs using embryo models, Dr. Nicholas Rivron at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, highlights that this may not be the best or ethically sound approach.
Instead, he suggests focusing on organoids, which are models of organ tissues derived from stem cells, according to Medical News Today. Organoids can help scientists explore how cells behave and even potentially contribute to the development of organs.
Interestingly, around the same time as the latest article on embryo models, another paper was published in Science detailing how researchers at Harvard University bioengineered structures resembling the human heart.
A synthetic embryo could lead to infertility treatments, according to researchers
“Our mouse embryo model not only develops a brain, but also a beating heart, all the components that go on to make up the body,” lead researcher Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz, professor of mammalian development and stem cell biology at the University of Cambridge in the UK told CNN.
“It’s just unbelievable that we’ve got this far. This has been the dream of our community for years, and a major focus of our work for a decade, and finally we’ve done it.”
The researchers aim to shift from working with mouse embryos to creating models of natural human pregnancies. According to Zernicka-Goetz, many human pregnancies don’t progress beyond the early stages, and the team hopes their work can shed light on this issue.
By observing embryos in a lab setting rather than in the womb, scientists gain valuable insights into the development process, helping them understand why some pregnancies fail and how to prevent such issues.
At the moment, the researchers have only managed to track around eight days of development in the synthetic mouse embryos, according to CNN. However, the process is continually improving, and they are already gaining valuable knowledge from their experiments, explained Gianluca Amadei, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge and one of the study’s authors.
