Argentina Gas Prices Jump 10% In One Day Historic Amid Fuel Shortage
In a world where some commentators speculate that there is a glut of energy and distillate products as a result of high oil prices, sliding China demand and a looming global recession, Argentina will take the under: as La Nacion reports, on Wednesday refiners and retailers hiked prices between 7.6% and 9.6%, amid what is shaping up as a historic energy crisis.
In recent days Argentina has been rocked by an unprecedented shortage of gasoline, with drivers running the gauntlet to find scarce supplies of gas to fill their tanks amid what Reuters has called "the most acute fuel shortage in years", which has left many filling stations out of supply and long lines at any pumps still operating.
The South American country, which is a major shale oil and gas producer, has suffered shortages of petrol and diesel since late last week because of domestic refining problems and as a lack of dollars has delayed imports.
Scenes reminiscent of Venezuela in recent years have surfaced across Argentina recently, with cars around the block attempting to fuel up at stations. Jorge Ferro, a 42-year-old consultant in Buenos Aires, tried to fill up his tank last week at an Axion gas station in the wealthy Recoleta neighborhood, but attendants told him they were out of “super” and could only offer 4,000 pesos ($11) of premium gasoline.
“When I told them I was going to go to another station, he told me that all the nearby gas stations were closed,” Ferro said.
Election uncertainty is another big driver behind commuters’ headache. Before the Oct. 22 general election, some gas stations suspended sales as customers tried to stock up on gas, fearing a sharp currency devaluation that looks delayed for now. Economy Minister Sergio Massa faces off against outsider candidate Javier Milei in the definitive runoff vote on Nov. 19. Even after the vote, some stations say they’re entirely tapped out.

FACT SHEET: President Biden Issues Executive Order on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence
Today, President Biden is issuing a landmark Executive Order to ensure that America leads the way in seizing the promise and managing the risks of artificial intelligence (AI). The Executive Order establishes new standards for AI safety and security, protects Americans’ privacy, advances equity and civil rights, stands up for consumers and workers, promotes innovation and competition, advances American leadership around the world, and more.
As part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s comprehensive strategy for responsible innovation, the Executive Order builds on previous actions the President has taken, including work that led to voluntary commitments from 15 leading companies to drive safe, secure, and trustworthy development of AI.
The Executive Order directs the following actions:
New Standards for AI Safety and SecurityAs AI’s capabilities grow, so do its implications for Americans’ safety and security. With this Executive Order, the President directs the most sweeping actions ever taken to protect Americans from the potential risks of AI systems:
Require that developers of the most powerful AI systems share their safety test results and other critical information with the U.S. government. In accordance with the Defense Production Act, the Order will require that companies developing any foundation model that poses a serious risk to national security, national economic security, or national public health and safety must notify the federal government when training the model, and must share the results of all red-team safety tests. These measures will ensure AI systems are safe, secure, and trustworthy before companies make them public.
Develop standards, tools, and tests to help ensure that AI systems are safe, secure, and trustworthy. The National Institute of Standards and Technology will set the rigorous standards for extensive red-team testing to ensure safety before public release. The Department of Homeland Security will apply those standards to critical infrastructure sectors and establish the AI Safety and Security Board. The Departments of Energy and Homeland Security will also address AI systems’ threats to critical infrastructure, as well as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and cybersecurity risks. Together, these are the most significant actions ever taken by any government to advance the field of AI safety.
Protect against the risks of using AI to engineer dangerous biological materials by developing strong new standards for biological synthesis screening. Agencies that fund life-science projects will establish these standards as a condition of federal funding, creating powerful incentives to ensure appropriate screening and manage risks potentially made worse by AI.
Protect Americans from AI-enabled fraud and deception by establishing standards and best practices for detecting AI-generated content and authenticating official content. The Department of Commerce will develop guidance for content authentication and watermarking to clearly label AI-generated content. Federal agencies will use these tools to make it easy for Americans to know that the communications they receive from their government are authentic—and set an example for the private sector and governments around the world.
Establish an advanced cybersecurity program to develop AI tools to find and fix vulnerabilities in critical software, building on the Biden-Harris Administration’s ongoing AI Cyber Challenge. Together, these efforts will harness AI’s potentially game-changing cyber capabilities to make software and networks more secure.
Order the development of a National Security Memorandum that directs further actions on AI and security, to be developed by the National Security Council and White House Chief of Staff. This document will ensure that the United States military and intelligence community use AI safely, ethically, and effectively in their missions, and will direct actions to counter adversaries’ military use of AI.

It Begins. Biden’s DOJ Starts Arresting Trump Supporters Who Stood Outside the US Capitol and Committed No Violence – Despite Registered Rallies on Capitol Grounds that Day
On October 13, 2022, the FBI testified that they were using geo-tracking data to identify Trump supporters who had gathered near the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
A bombshell report by the Electronic Freedom Foundation (EFF) revealed the “vast, secretive” partnership between private companies and the federal government to surveil and track the movements of millions of Americans.
According to the EFF, the intel alphabet agencies, including ICE, the FBI, US Secret Service, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Department of Defense (DoD), as well as state and local law enforcement, are being funneled hordes of private cell phone location data by private brokers who harvest the information.
This is the same tactic that Gregg Phillips, Catherine Engelbrecht, and True The Vote used for their investigation into the mail-in ballot dropbox fraud during the 2020 election. The cell phone location data collected by this group was used to identify the network of Democrat operatives who committed mass election fraud, as seen in the recently-released documentary “2000 Mules.”
The FBI was alleged to have used this data to identify patriotic protesters who traveled to Washington DC on January 6, 2021, to support President Trump and the US Constitution.
Tens of thousands of nearly one million protesters later walked to the US Capitol following President Trump’s speech where more rallies were scheduled.
The FBI used geotracking to identify the movements of several targeted individuals in this zone.
The government later said this was a restricted zone on January 6th.
This photo shows the “restricted area” around the US Capitol where Trump supporters were gathering because they had permits to hold rallies in this area.

BREAKING: Donald Trump Jr testifies in Trump Organization civil fraud trial in New York court
On Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr testified before the courtroom in the civil fraud trial of the Trump family and Trump Organization.
Trump Jr, Trump Organization executive vice president and also a co-defendant in the case, is the first of three Trump children to testify, with Eric and Ivanka Trump to follow, according to Reuters.
Trump Jr told the courtroom that he and brother Eric took over much of the management of the company when their father became president in 2017, and said that he had little involvement in the financial matters that lie at the center of the case.
The lawsuit, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accuses Trump, his two eldest sons, and some of their family businesses of inflating their assets to secure better loan terms.
The judge in the case put a gag order on Donald Trump to prevent him from critiquing those prosecuting the case on social media.Trump Jr said that the Trump Organization "relied heavily" on former accountant Donald Benter, saying, Bender "worked for us for decades. He handled practically everything. He was an outside accountant that we relied heavily on for our accounting needs," according to NBC News.
Leticia’s office questioned Trump Jr’s knowledge of accounting standards, such as the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), to which Trump Jr replied that his knowledge of GAAP was limited to what he learned in an accounting 101 class in college.
"I know nothing about GAAP — I leave it to my accountants," Trump Jr said, according to CNN. "I rely on their opinions and their assessments to make those decisions."
This is a breaking story and will be updated.

Briefing by Chief of Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov on U.S. military-biological activity
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation continues to analyse the military and biological activities of the United States of America in Ukraine and elsewhere in the world.
During the last briefing, the Russian side drew attention to the relocation of unfinished 'Ukrainian' projects to the territory of other countries. It was shown that African states — Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, and Uganda — have fallen into the zone of the United States' increased interest. The U.S. government customers are the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the National Security Agency, and the U.S. Department of State.
Today, using Nigeria as an example, the Russian side would like to show that the stated objectives of public health projects are not in line with reality.
Thus, the U.S. Department of Defense claims that biological projects in Nigeria are aimed at combating HIV and AIDS. However, the effectiveness of this programme raises serious concerns. Despite annual funding increases totalling about $100,000,000, the HIV incidence rate has remained virtually unchanged and corresponds with 2009 figures. The mortality among HIV-infected people also shows unfavourable progression.
However, the number of Nigerian citizens receiving antiviral therapy with products of Gilead Pharmaceutics company has steadily increased over the funding period reaching 60% of the total number of patients. It should be noted that the aforementioned pharmaceutical company is affiliated with the Pentagon and tested its drugs on Ukrainian citizens.
It suggests that American pharmaceuticals, even with the documented increase in consumption in Nigeria, do not have a tangible therapeutic impact, and Nigerian citizens are being exploited as a ‘free clinical resource’.
Thus, under the cover of 'public health' issues on the African continent, the Pentagon solves its own tasks: it monitors the biological situation, collects and exports samples of infectious agents and their vectors.
This activity continues to the present day. In August 2022, DTRA signed a three-year contract with RTI International, a U.S.-based non-profit organisation aimed at surveillance of infectious disease threats in Nigeria.
It has already been repeatedly noted that one of the Pentagon's tasks is so-called 'biological espionage', i.e. analysing the epidemic situation along the borders of geopolitical adversaries and in the expected regions of military contingent deployment.
The Russian side has data confirming that the Pentagon set tasks to monitor the biological situation in the territories of Iraq and Afghanistan bordering China, Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.
The documents emphasise the need for Pentagon contractors' employees to be brought to leading positions, and field work was supposed to be assigned to those local specialists who are able to interact with the relevant ministries. At the same time, it is recommended to minimise the evidence linking to the contractor by making short trips to Afghanistan and Iraq from the Dubai office only if necessary.
North Korea sends Russia artillery rounds for satellite advice: Seoul
North Korea has provided Russia with over one million artillery rounds to use in its war with Ukraine with Pyongyang appearing to receive advice on satellite technology in return, a South Korean lawmaker said Wednesday, citing Seoul’s spy agency.
Russia and North Korea, who are historic allies, are both under a raft of global sanctions — Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine, and Pyongyang for its testing of nuclear weapons.
The countries’ leaders, Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin, held a summit in September in Russia’s far east, with the United States subsequently claiming Pyongyang had begun providing Moscow with weapons.
The South’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) told lawmakers at a closed-door parliamentary audit on Wednesday that North Korea had made at least 10 arms transfers to Russia since August.
“The NIS has learned that more than one million artillery rounds have been transferred,” lawmaker Yoo Sang-bum told reporters after the audit.
“It’s analysed to be sufficient for around two months in the Russia-Ukraine war,” Yoo added.
In return, North Korea appeared to have received technical advice from Moscow on its bid to launch a military reconnaissance satellite, he said.
After a failed second attempt in August, Pyongyang said it would carry out a third satellite launch in October — but this has not materialised.
The lawmaker added that “while the October launch date has been postponed, final preparations such as inspections of the engine and launch device are in full swing.”
“It appears that North Korea received that technical advice from Russia, so we are expecting a higher rate of success.”
The United States said last month that arms shipments from Pyongyang to Moscow were underway, with North Korea delivering more than 1,000 containers of military equipment and munitions to Russia in recent weeks.
Seoul, Tokyo and Washington issued a joint statement last week saying they “strongly condemn” North Korea supplying arms to Moscow.
During his visit to Russia in September, Kim declared bilateral ties with Moscow were his country’s “number one priority”, with Pyongyang becoming an ardent supporter of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
Washington and experts have said Pyongyang was seeking a range of military assistance in return, such as satellite technology and upgrading its Soviet-era military equipment.

Largest migrant caravan in year heading to US – as leader mocks Biden’s border policies
The largest migrant caravan in a year, estimated to include some 7,000 people, is heading toward the US — and its leader claims President Biden has “dropped the ball” on immigration and allowed Latin American countries to “gang up” on his administration.
This latest caravan, comprising migrants from Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, and Venezuela, left southern Mexico on Monday, bound for the US border.
Officials in the Mexican state of Chiapas said some 3,500 people set off on foot from the city of Tapachula near the Guatemalan border — but one of the caravan’s organizers, Irineo Mujica, claimed there were around 5,000 in the initial group, and that that number had since swelled to more than 7,000.
Mujica, a US citizen, and self-described “human rights defender” who has been accompanying the migrants, told the cable network Real America’s Voice he believed the leaders of Latin American countries were conspiring to create the current immigration crisis to extract money from Washington — and that Biden was allowing it to happen.

“I believe the Biden administration has dropped the ball,” he said. “A lot of the countries are fueling this immigration by … transporting people in.”
Mujica further claimed immigration was being “weaponized” against the US and the Biden administration – and that Mexico was “ganging up” with other countries in the region “to make sure all this immigration goes straight into the United States.”
The caravan organizer argued that “irresponsible” Latin American countries have been charging migrants money in exchange for rides to the US border, where he said they were temporarily held before being released, instead of being deported.

FBI Warns Of Hamas Attacks In US
Congress has been informed by FBI Director Christopher Wray that he believes there is a greater chance of terrorist plots on US soil being planned by people or organizations that may draw inspiration from Hamas assaults against Israel.
“We assess that the actions of Hamas and its allies will serve as an inspiration, the likes of which we haven’t seen since ISIS launched its so-called caliphate several years ago,” Wray said on Tuesday in a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing. “In just the past few weeks, multiple foreign terrorist organizations have called for attacks against Americans and the West.”
Wray spoke at a time when Israeli forces were deepening their raid into Gaza in retaliation for Hamas militant attacks on October 7, which resulted in an estimated 1,400 deaths and hundreds of hostages. Over 8,500 Palestinians have been slain; at least fifty of them are said to have died when an Israeli bombing in Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp targeted a Hamas commander.
Threats against US interests are, at least in part, the result of organizations looking to exact revenge on Washington for its support of Israel. There have been 27 drone and rocket assaults against US military bases in Iraq and Syria in the last two weeks alone. The Pentagon has placed the responsibility on Iranian-sponsored militias, which both financially and politically back Hamas.
“Here in the United States, our most immediate concern is that violent extremists – individuals or small groups – will draw inspiration from the events in the Middle East to carry out attacks against Americans going about their daily lives,” Wray told the Senate committee.
He added, “The reality is that the terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023, but the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole ‘nother level.”
According to Wray, there is no evidence in the FBI’s possession suggesting Hamas intends or is capable of conducting operations within the United States. He added, though, that the agency hasn’t ruled out the chance that Hamas or another foreign terrorist group will take advantage of the conflict to launch strikes against US interests.
The US is orchestrating the Israel-Palestine War by fully supporting the Israel army’s armed offensive against Palestinians and concealing the genocide carried out by its right-wing Israeli ally in Gaza.
According to Wray, the FBI is currently looking into a number of Americans who have ties to Hamas. He continued, saying that in the past, these people had assisted or funded the group’s activities abroad, but the agency is currently evaluating how the threat might change to encompass assaults within the US.
Republicans in the legislature, such as Kansas Senator Roger Marshall, have expressed concern that Americans are now more vulnerable to terrorist attacks as a result of President Joe Biden’s administration’s lack of efforts to safeguard the country’s borders.
During the fiscal year of the federal government, which concluded on September 30, US Border Patrol personnel came across 172 migrants who were listed as terrorist suspects in the country. In contrast, there were three such meetings in the previous complete fiscal year of former President Donald Trump in office.

Investigators say 30 tons of lost ammonium nitrate likely caused by leak, not by a grand conspiracy
The discovery that about 30 tons of ammonium nitrate — a chemical compound used in fertilizers and explosives — were lost from a train car has ignited plenty of conspiracy theories on social media.
Dyno Nobel Ltd., an explosives manufacturing company with U.S. headquarters in Utah, said about 60,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate were released from a rail car on a train that left Cheyenne, Wyoming, on April 12 and traveled to Saltdale, California. The cause was unknown, but it possibly occurred in transit, the company said in a May 10 report to the federal National Response Center.
A May 24 Facebook post played a segment of "The Pete Santilli Show," in which the host said that the CIA was behind the incident, tying it to a baseless conspiracy theory that the government is intentionally destroying food processing plants to create food shortages.
Santilli, who pleaded guilty for his role in a 2014 federal standoff with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, said CIA operatives have been "attacking" food plants, a claim PolitiFact has debunked several times.
We found numerous other social media posts that alleged the incident may foretell false flag attacks. Some posts have tied it to recent news that U.S. senators were recently issued satellite phones for emergency communications, a move CBS News described as coming "amid growing concerns of security risks to members of Congress."
Ammonium nitrate is commonly used in fertilizers as well as mining and construction explosives, and can be dangerous to store and transport, according to CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society. Storing the chemical in large quantities can cause a massive blast; the larger the quantity, the higher the risk it will detonate.
In 2020, hundreds of tons of ammonium nitrate stored at a port in Beirut detonated in a massive blast that killed more than 200 people and injured more than 6,000 others.
The chemical has also been used in terror attacks, such as when Timothy McVeigh used it to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, killing 168 people.
But the companies investigating the ammonium nitrate’s disappearance from the rail car suspect a much more mundane explanation than planned bombings.

Adderall shortage in America driving ADHD patients to use METH
The ongoing shortage of the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) medication Adderall in the U.S. is forcing patients to resort to methamphetamine, according to social workers and healthcare professionals.
Widely prescribed for ADHD, Adderall is a legal form of mixed amphetamine salts often referred to as "legalized meth." The drug contains compounds such as amphetamine and dextroamphetamine that stimulate the central nervous system and address dopamine imbalance. Individuals with ADHD who take Adderall can focus and function effectively but are at risk of becoming dependent on the drug.
That's why the ongoing Adderall shortage has driven ADHD patients to seek alternatives on the black market, including methamphetamine (meth). Both Adderall and the street drug fall under the amphetamine category and function in the same manner – stimulating the central nervous system and boosting dopamine levels, temporarily alleviating the symptoms of ADHD.
Methamphetamine is a highly potent and addictive drug that can lead to severe health consequences when used without medical supervision. While it can also increase dopamine levels and temporarily alleviate ADHD symptoms, it comes with numerous risks, including addiction, physical and mental health issues, and the potential for overdose.
Garrett Reuscher, a licensed social worker in New York, first disclosed this phenomenon. He reported that ADHD patients who had never used meth before are now inquiring about its effects and safer meth use due to their inability to access Adderall. According to Reuscher, some patients are desperate to find something to help them function when their prescribed medication is unavailable.
Furthermore, the increasing demand for ADHD evaluation and treatment has resulted in lengthy wait times for diagnosis, even for those who already have a prescription. This delay worsens the desperation of ADHD patients who are unable to access Adderall and are seeking alternative solutions like meth.FDA blames labor shortage, increased demand
In October 2022, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officially declared an Adderall shortage due to worker and supply shortages at Teva Pharmaceuticals, a major manufacturer of the medication. But even prior to the October shortage announcement, Adderall supplies had been dwindling.
Teva and three other drug manufacturers had placed extended-release Adderall on back-order almost a year ago, citing a labor shortage as the cause. The company had initially promised that the shortage would only last until the end of 2022, but this did not materialize.
In July, the FDA said Teva continues to experience an "unprecedented increase in demand" for Adderall. According to the regulator, the shortage is primarily "demand-driven." (Related: ADHD medication Adderall is running out of stock at CVS and Walgreens amid soaring demand.)
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) had previously listed Adderall as a drug "currently in shortage." Among the nine companies that produce the ADHD medication, only three have been able to maintain fully available supplies.
Dr. Erin Fox, an associate chief pharmacy officer at the University of Utah Health who compiles drug shortage data, explains the ripple effect of a manufacturing issue. "If one company has a large market share and that company has a shortage or sudden manufacturing delay, it really puts pressure on the other companies, and they may not be able to make up the difference," she explained. "It's not always easy for these companies to ramp up supply quickly."

US Infant Mortality Rate Increases for the First Time in Two Decades
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported on Wednesday that the infant mortality rate in the United States increased by 3% in 2022, marking the first such rise in 20 years.
Marie Thoma, an infant mortality researcher at the University of Maryland, commented on the findings, stating, “It’s definitely concerning, given that it’s going in the opposite direction from what it has been.”
The data indicated that white Americans, Native Americans, all male infants, and babies born at 37 weeks or earlier experienced the most significant upticks in infant mortality rates.
There are observations regarding the higher vaccination rates among white and Native Americans I’m when compared to other ethnic groups. Some professionals expressed concerns about the potential links between Covid vaccinations and maternal and infant health.
It was noted that some infants in the US received vaccinations at their 6-month medical appointments. Infant mortality is determined by the number of infants who pass away before their first birthday.
The US stands out as one of the few nations that approved this vaccination for very young children.
Furthermore, the CDC promoted the vaccination of breastfeeding mothers and their infants. This promotion coincided with the release of the infant mortality data.
An investigation was initiated in Scotland the previous year following an unusual rise in newborn fatalities.Another report from May highlighted court-released FDA documents indicating that both Pfizer and the FDA were aware in early 2021 of the potential risks associated with their mRNA COVID vaccine on fetuses and infants.
In Washington, D.C., a group of medical professionals expressed concerns about the potential increase in fetal deaths and miscarriages linked to Covid vaccinations.
Earlier in March 2021, warnings were raised about the potential risks of administering the experimental mRNA vaccine to pregnant women. The source mentioned a series of adverse pregnancy outcomes and emphasized the need for transparency and openness in sharing such data with the public.
